The campus is conveniently located just minutes away from both the airport and downtown Providence. AdCare RI is also located close to pristine beaches and recreational areas.  The newly renovated facility is outfitted with semi-private rooms with baths, fitness center, basketball court, and many other amenities.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong><u>Job Summary</u></strong></p>\n<p>Responsible for preparing food to be served complying with all applicable sanitation, health, and personal hygiene standards following established food production programs and procedures.  The cook is responsible for appropriate use of facility supplies and equipment to ensure loss, waste, and fraud is minimized.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong><u>Duties and Responsibilities: </u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Prepares and present breakfast, lunch and dinner daily.</li>\n <li>Creates and posts daily menus.</li>\n <li>Keeps work area neat and clean at all times; clean and maintain equipment used in food preparation, dishwasher, refrigerators, ovens, etc. </li>\n <li>Keeps track of food and supplies inventory.</li>\n <li>Prepares shopping list for purchasing coordinator.</li>\n <li>Supports, cooperates with, and implements specific procedures for quality assurance and compliance with all regulatory requirements.</li>\n <li>Promotes positive public relations with residents, family members and guests; when applicable.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong><u>Education/ Experience:</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>High School Diploma or equivalent required. </li>\n <li>Serve Safe Certificate preferred. </li>\n <li>Minimum of two years experience in food production required. </li>\n <li>Experience in preparing and serving food in an institutional setting preferred.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><em><strong>All positions require a TST, MMR Titer, the ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening, and satisfactory criminal background records check. </strong></em></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>American Addiction Centers prohibits employment practices that discriminate against individuals or groups of employees on the basis of age, color disability, national origin, race, religion, sex, sexual orientation, pregnancy, veteran or military status, genetic information or any other category deemed protected by state and/or federal law.
