Join a family-oriented company that values personal and professional growth. Ed Morse is currently seeking an Human Resources Manager to join our team. Responsibilities Ensure full compliance with all applicable employment laws and regulations, including but not limited to FLSA, EEOC, ADA, OSHA, and DOT requirements. Administer and monitor Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) checks for all team members operating company vehicles; evaluate driving eligibility and maintain documentation. Oversee I-9 completion, audits, and record retention policies. Maintain up-to-date personnel files and HRIS records in compliance with legal and company standards. Coordinate internal audits and prepare for external compliance reviews or investigations. Work with Corporate HR management to develop and implement HR policies and procedures that align with company goals. Partner with location leadership to ensure compliance training is being completed in a timely manner. Manage leave of absence programs (FMLA/LOA), workplace safety, and risk mitigation practices. Facilitate orientation sessions covering company policies, compliance requirements, and role-specific expectations. Partner with department leaders to identify training needs and implement continuous learning programs (e.g., safety training, customer service, leadership development). Track and report on training completion, certifications, and compliance-related education. Evaluate onboarding and training effectiveness and continuously improve programs. Serve as a trusted advisor to managers and team members on HR-related matters. Investigate team member concerns, complaints, and workplace issues in a fair and timely manner. Support performance management processes, including disciplinary actions and performance improvement plans. Promote a positive work environment aligned with company values and culture. Support the Risk team as necessary to promote workplace safety initiatives in compliance with OSHA and automotive industry standards. Coordinate incident reporting, workers’ compensation claims, FMLA and return-to-work programs. Ensure all team members receive proper safety training and certifications as required Multi-location support, including occasional travel to dealership sites. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced automotive environment. High level of confidentiality and professionalism required. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience, preferred). Entry-Mid Level Human Resources Management experience, preferably within the automotive, hospitality or multi-location environment. Strong knowledge of employment laws, compliance requirements, and HR best practices. Demonstrated success in onboarding, training program development, and employee engagement. Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in HRIS systems (ADP Workforce, ComplyNet and Microsoft Office Suite) HR certification (PHR, SPHR, or SHRM-CP/SCP) preferred. Why Ed Morse?
