    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>MBP is seeking leaders in the design and construction industry to support the delivery of complex projects and programs. For this position, we seek candidates in the Washington/Baltimore DC metropolitan area with ten or more years of combined education and/or experience, as well as demonstrated advanced knowledge and expertise in the installation of complex architectural and building envelope systems. Experience in supporting the successful delivery of new and/or renovated laboratories, data centers, and/or secure facilities with SCIFs is desired. Evidence of progressive career development and demonstrated expertise in quality control, quality assurance, construction management, field engineering, or related fields. </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<h1>MAIN DUTIES:</h1>\n<p>Duties include providing pre-construction and on-site owner representation for medium— to large-scale construction projects, either as part of a team or working independently, depending on the project's size and complexity. Responsibilities include managing cost, schedule, and/or quality on behalf of the client/owner. Typical duties include:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Representing client on-site, providing quality assurance, documentation, cost control, and time management-related services.</li>\n <li>Working collaboratively with the project delivery team to proactively identify risks and issues and develop mitigation strategies. </li>\n <li>Coordinating, monitoring, and managing inspection activities.</li>\n <li>Verifying that construction is performed in accordance with contract plans, specifications, and approved shop drawings.</li>\n <li>Preparing detailed daily reports documenting work performed. </li>\n <li>Documenting and tracking issues/non-conformance items until corrected.</li>\n <li>Coordinating and tracking submittals and requests for information. </li>\n <li>Participating and assisting in documenting project meetings. </li>\n <li>Effectively communicating with Owner, Contractor, Designer, and MBP team in a professional manner.</li>\n <li>Coordinating and overseeing building envelope commissioning agent and other third-party owner contractors.</li>\n <li>Coordinating and performing final inspection, preparing punchlists, and ensuring all items on the punchlist are completed or corrected by the contractor.  </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<h1>EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE:</h1>\n<ul>\n <li>High school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED), plus ten years of related experience and/or education. </li>\n <li>Associate's degree, plus eight years of related experience and/or education.  </li>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, or related field, plus five years of related experience.</li>\n <li>Possess OSHA 10-hour or OSHA 30-hour certification or obtain within 3 months of hire.</li>\n <li>Working knowledge of basic mathematics, including computations based on field measurements.</li>\n <li>Considerable construction-related training or a combination of education and experience that demonstrates ability to perform the job.  </li>\n <li>Knowledge of materials, methods, and tools utilized in the type of construction work for the area of work responsible for overseeing.</li>\n</ul>\n<h1>SKILLS AND ABILITIES:</h1>\n<ul>\n <li>Expertise with quality assurance and quality control techniques.</li>\n <li>Ability to work independently and handle all aspects of a project, including client interface, technical issues, documentation, and reporting.</li>\n <li>Exercises tact and diplomacy in dealing with sensitive and complex issues and situations.</li>\n <li>Ability to identify potential problems and derive recommended solutions from past experiences.  </li>\n <li>Must have computer skills and be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications, Email, Internet navigation, web-based tools, and other specialized equipment.</li>\n <li>Ability to read and interpret plans and contract specifications.</li>\n <li>Ability to communicate quality issues effectively and responsibly (verbally and in writing) with internal and external customers (i.e., contractors, owners, subconsultants, designers, architects, and fellow team members). </li>\n <li>Ability to obtain and maintain required certifications.</li>\n <li>Ability to stand and sit as needed on project work sites, climb ladders, work at heights, and work outdoors in a wide range of weather conditions.</li>\n <li>Ability to safely navigate construction work sites with uneven terrain. </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Fingerprint-based criminal history background check, reference verification, and work history will be required prior to employment.</li>\n <li>Must be a US Citizen.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>STATUS:</strong></p>\n<p>Full-time</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>SALARY:</strong></p>\n<p>$100,000 - $130,000 per year</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>BENEFITS:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Competitive compensation with opportunities for semi-annual bonuses</li>\n <li>Generous Paid Time Off and holiday schedules</li>\n <li>100% Employer paid medical, dental, vision, life, AD&D, and disability benefits (for individual)</li>\n <li>Health Savings Account with company contribution</li>\n <li>401(k)/Roth 401(k) plan with company match</li>\n <li>Tuition Assistance and Student Loan Reimbursement</li>\n <li>Numerous Training and Professional Development opportunities</li>\n <li>Wellness Program & Fitness Program Reimbursement  </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>MBP is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of any legally protected status or characteristic.
