    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><div><p data-pasted=\"true\"><strong>Controls Engineer (For Formation and FA)</strong></p><p>Ultium Cells, LLC. is a joint venture Lithium-ion battery cell manufacturing plant between LG Energy Solution, Ltd., and General Motors. This high-technology plant will have the latest in battery cell manufacturing technology.&nbsp;</p><p>Ultium Cells&rsquo; partners include LG Energy Solution, Ltd.; the world&rsquo;s largest manufacturer of automotive battery cells, and General Motors; a global company committed to delivering safer, better and more sustainable ways for people to get around.</p><p><strong>Position Description:</strong></p><p>This position will be part of a technical team responsible for engineering work that includes continuous improvement, investigating and troubleshooting equipment/manufacturing/facility problems, analyzing production results, implementing and improving manufacturing methods and processes, and ensuring high yield and productivity in a highly automated manufacturing environment. His/her functions will also include interaction with internal and external customers and external vendors to solve urgent and complex problems by identifying and evaluating alternatives to provide support of all in-plant production as required. Position requires some on-call support.</p><p><strong>Job Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>The Control Engineering is a key partner in organization responsible for the Formation/FA process technology. The engineer will be trained and developed in PLC programming to:</li><li>Program the automation and controls systems of various manufacturers (Italy, Japan, Korea)&nbsp;</li><li>Create, monitor, and modify logic for program design, simulation and testing, start-up, and troubleshooting&nbsp;</li><li>Manipulate these items using Siemens PLC programing:</li><li>Motion control with servo motor &amp; robot&nbsp;</li><li>Integrate and implement various systems such as: Bar Code &amp; RFID Reading, Robot, Ultrasonic Welding, Vision, Weigh Scale, Gas Sampling, etc.&nbsp;</li><li>Machine Cleaning responsibilities</li><li>Additional duties as assigned</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications and Competencies:</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor of Science or Associates Degree in Electrical preferred or Automation (or related) required&nbsp;</li><li>0 to 3 Years Industrial Controls Experience- Experience working in a manufacturing or automotive engineering environment through an internship, co-op, entry level job role, or similar, preferred</li><li>Exposure to controls and electrical systems design, automation, mechanical assemblies, and manufacturing assembly equipment</li><li>Proactive, resourceful &amp; highly motivated with good communication skills&nbsp;</li><li>Exposure or education in Battery systems or processes a plus but not required</li><li>Bilingual Korean/English preferred</li><li>Ability to work well in a team environment</li><li>Promote workplace safety</li></ul><p><strong>Total Rewards Information:</strong></p><p>We offer market-competitive compensation including base pay and incentive compensation opportunities based on the achievement of Company goals. &nbsp;We offer employees paid time off to refresh and recharge.
