We would love for you to join our team!</p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Are you the one we’re looking for?</span></p>\n<p>We are seeking a dynamic, highly motivated <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Relief Youth Worker </span>who demonstrates our values of compassion, accountability, responsiveness and empowerment; to our clients, families and each other.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Relief Youth Worker </span>will be scheduled to work on an on-call basis. You will have the opportunity to cover varying shifts throughout the week. Hours vary based on need. Shifts could include days, evenings, overnights, and weekends. We are seeking a candidate with <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">flexible availability, and overnight availability.</span></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>This is a <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">unionized</span>, <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">relief </span>position. The rate of pay <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">is $20.50 per hour</span>.</p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Key Responsibilities: </span></p>\n<ol>\n<li>Establish a positive rapport with youth by being friendly, non-judgmental, non-intrusive, and approachable.</li>\n<li>Oversee the 19-unit program and residents, handling issues that may arise.</li>\n<li>Engage youth in a meaningful way providing counseling, information, support and advocacy.</li>\n<li>Be knowledgeable of and adhere to the purpose, goals, objectives, operational procedures of the program and organizational polices.</li>\n<li>Work with community partners in program and ensure proper communication and sharing of information.</li>\n<li>Maintain an awareness of other social service agencies in the Hamilton Region and a working knowledge of the legislation that affects the target population of the program.</li>\n<li>Ensure safety of team and safety of all program participants, including the entry to program.</li>\n<li>Complete statistics, client files, daily log, and other administrative documentation, as required.</li>\n<li>Complete household cleaning responsibilities as required.</li>\n<li>Provide crisis management support when necessary.</li>\n</ol>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">What you will bring:</span></p>\n<ol>\n<li>Minimum of C.Y.W. or S.S.W. diploma.</li>\n<li>At least 1 years’ experience working with street involved/homeless youth.</li>\n<li>Experience working in a residential setting is an asset.</li>\n<li>Commitment to flexible work schedule which includes overnight and weekend hours.</li>\n<li>Non-violent crisis intervention, First aid/CPR training, ASIST certification</li>\n</ol>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Invest in Yourself as we Invest in You!
