Structured Finance Team. We are hiring for 1 position, however cross posting in the Greater Miami Florida Area, Greater Minneapolis Minnesota Area, and London Ontario Canada.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>In this role, you will drive the stability and growth of the Bank’s high-performing product offerings within the US Structured Finance Program. You will leverage your strong client relationship skills and industry knowledge to originate, structure, underwrite, and manage complex receivable financing programs. This is not a traditional relationship manager role, you will have direct involvement in credit structuring, transaction execution, and portfolio performance monitoring, working on custom solutions for existing partners and new prospects.   </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Primary responsibilities include:</span></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Transaction Structuring &amp; Underwriting</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Lead the structuring and underwriting of new and existing receivable financing programs, combining elements of forward flow and securitization transactions within VersaBank’s differentiated Structured Receivable Program</li>\n<li>Design tailored transaction structures aligned with client needs and the Bank’s risk appetite</li>\n<li>Prepare and present detailed credit applications, including risk identification, structural mitigants and complex modeling.</li>\n<li>Partner with senior stakeholders and Credit to support deal approval and execution</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Portfolio Management &amp; Credit Oversight</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Manage a portfolio of structured transactions with full accountability for performance, growth and risk management</li>\n<li>Monitor asset performance, covenant compliance, and credit quality across programs</li>\n<li>Identify emerging risks and proactively recommend restructuring or risk mitigation strategies</li>\n<li>Lead portfolio reviews, watchlist reporting, and ongoing credit assessments</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Client &amp; Deal Management</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Serve as a key point of contact for clients, working collaboratively to optimize and grow programs</li>\n<li>Engage directly with counterparties to evolve funding structures and expand existing relationships</li>\n<li>Address portfolio issues including delinquencies, maturities, and performance deterioration</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Execution &amp; Governance</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensure all transactions comply with internal policies, credit standards, and regulatory requirements (including BSA/AML/KYC)</li>\n<li>Lead the legal documentation process with external legal counsel to finalize transaction structures and security.</li>\n<li>Work cross-functionally with Compliance, Credit, and Operations to support efficient deal execution</li>\n<li>Contribute to enhancements in credit processes, policies, and structuring approaches</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Analytics &amp; Reporting</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Deliver actionable portfolio insights through advanced analytics and reporting (Excel / Power BI)</li>\n<li>Provide senior management with data-driven perspectives on portfolio trends and performance</li>\n<li>Support ongoing optimization of structured programs</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">What we look for:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Business degree or related post-secondary education.</li>\n<li>CFA, MBA, or equivalent professional designation or experience preferred.</li>\n<li>5+ years in structured finance, with experience in forward flow facilities, receivables financing, or securitization markets strongly preferred</li>\n<li>Background in banking, credit funds, fintech lenders, or structured credit platforms</li>\n<li>Strong credit underwriting and structuring experience</li>\n<li>Advanced financial analysis and modelling skills (Excel required, Power BI a strong asset)</li>\n<li>Ability to evaluate complex asset pools and transaction structures</li>\n<li>Proven ability to manage both client relationships and credit risk</li>\n<li>Strong commercial judgement and negotiation skills</li>\n<li>Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders and interpersonal skills.</li>\n<li>High degree of ownership and accountability in managing transactions</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Please note this list is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive list of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required for this job.
