(NYSE: PWR). </p>\n<p>Build your career at Irby Construction.</p>\n<h2>About this Role</h2>\n<p>A Journeyman Lineman Foreman (Transmission) at Irby Construction Company oversees a team of linemen in the construction, maintenance, and repair of power lines and electrical systems, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and project completion according to company standards. This leadership role involves assigning tasks, conducting safety analyses, coordinating with management, and training less experienced crew members, while also performing skilled electrical work.</p>\n<p><strong>NOTE: THIS JOB WILL BE FOR ALL OF FLORIDA</strong></p>\n<h2>What You'll Do</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Has worked in the line industry as a journeyman lineman for at least 5 years</li>\n <li>Ability to lead and guide a crew of journeyman and apprentice linemen in their daily tasks</li>\n <li>Conduct job safety analyses (JSAs), ensure compliance with safety standards, and foster a strong safety culture within the crew</li>\n <li>Oversee the construction, maintenance, and repair of overhead and underground power lines, substations, and other electrical equipment</li>\n <li>Assign tasks to crew members, ensuring efficient workflow and project progress</li>\n <li>Serve as a liaison between the crew, project managers, and other stakeholders, relaying information and resolving issues</li>\n <li>Train and mentor less experienced linemen and apprentices, providing guidance and sharing expertise</li>\n <li>Complete daily paperwork, including time sheets, material orders, and work reports</li>\n <li>Apply extensive knowledge of electrical systems and the use of tools and equipment to perform skilled tasks and solve field problems</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>What You'll Bring</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Must be able to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays on an on-call basis</li>\n <li>Ability to motivate, direct, and supervise a team effectively</li>\n <li>Advanced knowledge of electrical systems, power line construction, and maintenance techniques</li>\n <li>Must hold relevant certifications and demonstrate a strong commitment to safety procedures</li>\n <li>Ability to perform strenuous physical activities, work in various weather conditions, and work at heights</li>\n <li>Strong verbal and written communication skills for clear instructions and reporting</li>\n <li>Ability to assess situations, identify issues, and provide effective solutions</li>\n <li>Hold a class A or B CDL drivers license </li>\n <li>Basic computer skills i.e. email, Microsoft Word, & Excel</li>\n <li>Highschool Diploma/GED or equivalent required</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>What You'll Get</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Paid Vacation </li>\n <li>Paid Holidays</li>\n <li>Medical </li>\n <li>Dental </li>\n <li>Vision</li>\n <li>401K</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Equal Opportunity Employer</h2>\n<p>All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment and will not be discriminated against on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin or ancestry, sex (including gender, pregnancy, sexual orientation, and/or gender identity), age, disability, genetic information, veteran status, and/or any other basis protected by applicable federal, state or local law.We are an Equal Opportunity Employer, including disability and protected veteran status.
