This person will work closely with equipment operators, gaining hands-on experience with unique heavy machinery in a variety of environments, learning basic maintenance, and providing consistent, high-quality upkeep of the rig and general working area. The successful candidate must have a strong desire to learn, an energetic work ethic, and be unafraid to get his or her hands dirty.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">ROLES, RESPONSIBILITIES &amp; EXPECTATIONS</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Equipment Operation</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Set up and assist in operating various drilling equipment, sampling systems, geophysical instruments and other in-situ testing equipment following ConeTec’s procedures in a safe and productive manner. </li>\n<li>Become trained, company-certified and competent to operate numerous types of drilling equipment and other pieces of equipment within our extensive fleet.</li>\n<li>Assist with the mobilization and demobilization of equipment in hard-to-access environments. </li>\n<li>Perform routine maintenance on various pieces of equipment to ensure optimal performance.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Health &amp; Safety</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Contribute to and respect ConeTec’s safety culture, first and foremost.</li>\n<li>Ensure knowledge of all necessary safe operating procedures before beginning any job.</li>\n<li>Report any incidents, infractions, or near misses to the Project Manager and the HSE Officer, immediately. </li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Other General Responsibilities</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Communicate with the Supervisor or Project Manager as to any equipment problems or needs, as well as any field observations that might be of use. </li>\n<li>Perform other shop functions as required.</li>\n<li>Seek ways to improve operating procedures/processes.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Education Requirements</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>High School Diploma required.</span></li>\n<li><span>Driver’s license (minimum Class 5 and Class 1 preferred) with a clean driving record.</span><br></li>\n<li><span>Completion of f</span>irst aid courses, H2S alive, and/or other industry training is considered an asset.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Experience Requirements</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience or training relevant to drilling/sampling and/or heavy equipment operations/mechanics.</li>\n<li>Experience boating, driving pickup trucks, operating tracked equipment, operating Argo ATV's, etc. is an asset.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Technical Skill Requirements</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Must be able to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, moving heavy materials up to 50 lbs., climbing, crawling as well as walking on uneven ground, and working long hours in all weather conditions.</span></li>\n<li>Electrical and mechanical skills are an asset but not required.<br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Soft Skill Requirements</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Must possess a strong work ethic and represent the company in a professional manner. </li>\n<li>Must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships.</li>\n<li>Must be responsible and work well independently or in a team setting with minimal supervision.</li>\n<li>Must enjoy working outdoors and travelling for extended periods of time.</li>\n<li>Must enjoy performing a wide variety of duties and be able to manage multiple tasks and priorities.<br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 15px; font-weight: bold;\">ADDITIONAL INFORMATION</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 15px;\">This is a shift-based position.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 15px;\">Candidate must be willing to work outside in all weather conditions</span><br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span>As part of our dedicated focus on the health and safety of all employees, and due to the requirement that employees be able to safely complete the tasks associated with this job position, a successful candidate may be required to take a pre-employment fit for duty test, including a drug and alcohol testing, and complete a satisfactory criminal record check.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span>ConeTec is an equal opportunity employer.
