JOB SUMMARY As part of our recent growth, we are seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will review aerospace and commercial documents/parts that are fabricated and processed by Skills Inc. for compliance with engineering specifications, AS9100, NADCAP, and the company's quality system requirements. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Validate and correct performance monitoring data. • Interpret data, analyze results, and provide detailed reports for reporting and communications needs. • Create First Article Inspection Reports for entry into Net-Inspect • Identify opportunities through data analysis for process improvement and increased efficiency. • Use methodical and systemic analytical approaches to perform effective Root Cause Corrective Analysis (RCCA). • Develop, document, and deliver end-user training on changes and enhancements to process improvements. • Track and report the status of Corrective Actions and quality performance data. • Assess quality performance trends and lead corrective action efforts. • Participate in and contribute towards process improvement initiatives and goals. • Develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with others and maintain them over time. • Comply with all federal, state, company, and customer requirements. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions with concrete and abstract variables. • Experience with the manufacture, fabrication, assembly, application of protective finishes, and inspection of structural aerospace products. • Advanced knowledge of quality engineering theories, principles, inspection techniques, tools, and equipment. • Advanced knowledge of aerospace and commercial drawings, blueprints, parts lists, and associated documents. • Advanced computer literacy in a Windows environment, including proficiency with MS Office. • Excellent at technical writing. • Ability to effectively communicate complex technical issues to others and to work cooperatively with both internal and external customers. • Ability to effectively assess and implement continuous improvement techniques to quality and operational functions. • Excellent attention to detail. • Ability to establish goals and objectives to complete projects in a timely manner. LANGUAGE SKILLS • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English through verbal communication, American Sign Language, or adaptive technology CONFIDENTIALITY This position may require access to sensitive information, which must be handled with the utmost discretion.
