Description

Ameristar Perimeter Security USA, an ASSA ABLOY branded company, is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Director of Engineering services to provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for Ameristar’s engineering functions, including New Product Development, Product Engineering, Applications Engineering, and Field Services. This executive role is responsible for driving innovation, ensuring product quality, supporting customer applications, and delivering exceptional field service performance. The Director will collaborate closely with executive leadership to align departmental initiatives with Ameristar’s business objectives and growth strategy. To perform the role of Director, Engineering Services successfully, an individual must meet expectations of each essential duty. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and abilities required. Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.  Master’s preferred Required Experience: Demonstrated excellence to lead the development of innovative products from concept through launch, ensuring alignment with market and customer requirements. Directs engineering efforts that support sales and customer service through technical documentation, product specifications and design resources. Guides the team responsible for developing and supporting highly complex custom designs tailored to customer requirements. Ensure solutions are technically sound, feasible, and aligned with Ameristar’s product portfolio, while maintaining strong collaboration with customers and internal stakeholders. Oversee field service operations, including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Drive customer satisfaction by ensuring responsive, high-quality service delivery. Develop and execute engineering strategies that support Ameristar’s long-term goals. Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement across all engineering groups. Proven ability to work within a matrix selling organization to successfully implement the organizations strategies across all part of the organization. Strong knowledge of architectural and contractor markets Is an asset to Ameristar’s legal representation, NPD teams, Engineering and other internal departments. Ability to travel domestically and internationally (40%+ domestically) Strong interpersonal skills; ability to communicate professionally across the organization Excellent organizational, planning, presentation, troubleshooting, and multi-tasking skills Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism Preferred: Demonstrated experience in recruiting, on-boarding, coaching and development of team members toward promotion or exit from the organization Experience presenting to executives & senior leaders both internally and externally Excellent organizational, planning, presentation, troubleshooting, and multi-tasking skills Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism We are the ASSA ABLOY Group Our people have made us the global leader in access solutions.
