The Roving Maintenance Technician position is responsible for completing apartment unit turns from start to finish across multiple properties. This role requires a broad range of maintenance skills, strong time awareness, and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in varying building systems and environments.</p><p>This position requires travel between sites throughout the Twin Cities Metro Area and St. Cloud. Potential to travel to Rochester, Mankato and Eau Claire, Wisconsin.</p><p><strong>Benefits:&nbsp;</strong></p><ul><li>401(k) Match</li><li>Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance</li><li>Life Insurance</li><li>Paid Vacation Time and Paid Sick Time</li><li>Paid Holidays and Floating Holidays</li><li>DailyPay</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Knowledgeable in the use of hand and power tools.</li><li>Some experience in multifamily or senior housing maintenance.</li><li>Ability to work effectively with plumbing, electrical, HVAC, flooring, painting, millwork, and appliance systems.</li><li>Comfortable troubleshooting systems that vary greatly from building to building.</li><li>Self-starter who can work well independently and in a group environment.</li><li>Quick learner who comprehends written and verbal directions in English.</li><li>Thorough, detail oriented, and follows through on assigned tasks.</li><li>Strong time awareness and ability to manage time effectively.</li><li>Must possess valid driver&#39;s license, acceptable driving record, and reliable transportation.</li></ul><p><strong>Responsibilities:&nbsp;</strong></p><p data-pasted=\"true\"><em>Unit Turn Completion</em></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Complete full unit turns from A&ndash;Z, ensuring units are turn ready in a timely and thorough manner.</li><li>Inspect appliances and diagnose issues for repair or replacement.</li><li>Conduct small damage repairs in ceilings and walls.</li><li>Remove and replace sheetrock as needed for painting and repair.</li><li>Complete turn check list and submit for unit inspection</li><li><br></li></ul><p><em>Plumbing, Electrical, Heating and Cooling</em></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Repair and replace faucets, fill valves, shut‑offs, pop‑ups, toilets, shower cartridges, and related components.</li><li>Perform necessary water shutdowns as required.</li><li>Repair and replace outlets, switches, light fixtures, and ballasts.</li><li>Work with breakers as needed during unit turns.</li><li>Demonstrate a basic understanding of heating and cooling systems, including but not limited to Magic Pak units, boilers, furnaces, and air conditioning.</li><li>Assist with troubleshooting and maintenance across systems that may vary from building to building.</li><li>Clean HVAC units and change filters as needed during turns.</li></ul><p><em>Carpentry, Millwork, and Doors</em></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Repair or replace door slabs, trims, handles, hinges, cabinet hinges, and related components.</li><li>Adjust entry doors, interior doors, closet doors, and screen doors.</li><li>Fix or replace all door hardware within units.</li><li>Adjust windows and screens as needed.</li><li>Adjust cabinets and perform minor cabinet repairs when required.</li></ul><p><em>Painting and Finishing</em></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Perform proper painting processes, including patching, sanding, hole repair, caulking, and final paint application.</li><li>The ability to patch, sand, and paint is extremely important.</li></ul><p><em>Flooring and Fixtures</em></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Perform flooring repairs as required during unit turns.</li><li>Clean floors/carpets using extractors/carpet cleaners</li><li>Hang blinds of all types.</li><li>Ability to caulk as needed throughout the unit.</li></ul><p><em>Float Maintenance</em></p><ul><li>When no unit turns are available, serve as floating maintenance at assigned properties to support daily operations.</li><li>Assist site maintenance teams with general maintenance tasks, work orders, and special projects as directed.</li><li>Perform HVAC‑related tasks at various sites, including cleaning, removing, and replacing Magic Pak units.</li><li>Support heating and cooling system upkeep across buildings, recognizing that systems vary from site to site.</li><li>Provide flexible coverage to ensure maintenance needs are met across multiple communities within the travel range.</li></ul><p><br></p><p>The Roving Maintenance Technician must be comfortable traveling to work within 60 miles of the corporate office (Plymouth, MN).</p></div></div>\n<br/>Monday through Friday<br/>40 Hours Per Week",
