If you are looking for a highly technical career in a challenging environment, please contact us today.</p><p><strong>Position Summary</strong></p><p>The Industrial Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and installing manufacturing equipment and facility systems within a carbon graphite manufacturing environment. This position supports production operations by ensuring equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and maintaining a safe and efficient workplace. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and industrial maintenance experience within a manufacturing environment and be comfortable working on a wide variety of production equipment, CNC machinery, ovens/furnaces, dust collection systems, pumps, compressors, and facility systems.</p><p><strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair industrial manufacturing equipment and machinery&nbsp;</li><li>Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on production equipment&nbsp;</li><li>Repair and maintain:&nbsp;<ul type=\"circle\"><li>CNC machines&nbsp;</li><li>Industrial ovens/furnaces&nbsp;</li><li>Hydraulic and pneumatic systems&nbsp;</li><li>Vacuum systems&nbsp;</li><li>Pumps and compressors&nbsp;</li><li>Dust collection systems&nbsp;</li><li>Conveyors and mechanical drives&nbsp;</li><li>Material handling equipment&nbsp;</li></ul></li><li>Read and interpret:&nbsp;<ul type=\"circle\"><li>Mechanical drawings&nbsp;</li><li>Equipment manuals&nbsp;</li><li>Schematics&nbsp;</li><li>Blueprints&nbsp;</li></ul></li><li>Install and align motors, bearings, shafts, gearboxes, and related components&nbsp;</li><li>Perform welding, fabrication, and basic machining as needed&nbsp;</li><li>Troubleshoot electrical controls and work alongside electricians when required&nbsp;</li><li>Inspect equipment for wear, safety concerns, and operational deficiencies&nbsp;</li><li>Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns and emergency repairs&nbsp;</li><li>Maintain maintenance logs and repair documentation&nbsp;</li><li>Assist with machine installations, upgrades, and facility improvement projects&nbsp;</li><li>Follow all company safety procedures, OSHA requirements, lockout/tagout procedures, and PPE requirements&nbsp;</li><li>Maintain clean and organized maintenance and work areas&nbsp;</li><li>Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve equipment reliability and efficiency&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Minimum 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment preferred&nbsp;</li><li>Experience in heavy manufacturing, machining, metals, carbon graphite, or industrial production environments strongly preferred&nbsp;</li><li>Strong mechanical troubleshooting abilities&nbsp;</li><li>Experience with:&nbsp;<ul type=\"circle\"><li>Hydraulics&nbsp;</li><li>Pneumatics&nbsp;</li><li>Bearings&nbsp;</li><li>Motors&nbsp;</li><li>Gearboxes&nbsp;</li><li>Belts/chains&nbsp;</li><li>Industrial pumps&nbsp;</li></ul></li><li>Basic electrical troubleshooting experience preferred&nbsp;</li><li>Welding and fabrication experience preferred&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to safely use maintenance tools and equipment&nbsp;</li><li>Strong understanding of preventative maintenance practices&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to work independently with minimal supervision&nbsp;</li><li>Strong communication and teamwork skills&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>Education &amp; Certifications</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>High School Diploma or GED required&nbsp;</li><li>Technical/trade school training preferred&nbsp;</li><li>OSHA or safety certifications are a plus&nbsp;</li><li>Forklift and scissor lift experience preferred&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>Physical Requirements</strong></p><ul><li>Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, kneel, and work in confined spaces&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to work in hot, dusty, noisy, and industrial manufacturing environments&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to work overtime or emergency call-ins when required&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>Work Environment</strong></p><p>This position operates in a manufacturing carbon graphite facility environment and may involve exposure to:</p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Industrial machinery&nbsp;</li><li>Carbon/graphite dust&nbsp;</li><li>Heat from ovens/furnaces&nbsp;</li><li>Noise and vibration&nbsp;</li><li>Moving mechanical equipment <strong><br></strong></li></ul><p><strong>Additional Expectations</strong></p><ul><li>Maintain confidentiality regarding company proprietary processes and information&nbsp;</li><li>Demonstrate professionalism, dependability, and strong attendance&nbsp;</li><li>Follow all company policies and procedures&nbsp;</li><li>Promote a safety-first culture throughout the facility&nbsp;</li></ul><p>Work Environment: Manufacturing. wearing protective gear PPE, Fast paced, Proper PPE must be worn at all times.
