    "requisitionDescription": "<p id=\"isPasted\"><strong><u>Position Summary:</u></strong></p><p>The Test Technician III, will be responsible for performing routine and varied tasks to ensure that production standards are met. Sets up, calibrates, tests and troubleshoots production assemblies. &nbsp;Projects may range from simple to complex.</p><p><br></p><p><strong><u>Essential Functions:</u></strong></p><p>1.<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Tests electronic and electro-mechanical units using standard test equipment. Analyzes results to evaluate performance and determine need for adjustment.</p><p>2.<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Assists with creation of written test procedures for new assemblies.</p><p>3.<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Adjusts or replaces defective or improperly functioning circuitry or electronic components using hand tools or soldering iron.</p><p>4.<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Provide engineering support or recommendations for new or existing equipment regarding installation, upgrades, or enhancements.</p><p>5.<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Update controlled documentation of component alterations.</p><p>6.<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Specifies and assists in acquisition of tools and equipment.</p><p>7.<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Performs preventative maintenance and/or calibration of equipment.</p><p>8.<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Sets up and performs bench, component, and system level tests.</p><p>9.<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Performs set-ups for AC and DC digital tests. Including high voltage testing (70E Arc Flash).</p><p>10.<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Ability to operate Digital Volt Meters, AC test fixtures, power supplies, etc.</p><p>11.<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Installs completed electro-mechanical and mechanical assemblies into equipment cabinets. (point to point wiring experience). &nbsp;</p><p>12.<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Disassembly, rework, and re-assembly of electro-mechanical and mechanical assemblies.</p><p>13.<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>May be called upon to assist with Production assembly work at Production Supervisor&rsquo;s discretion.</p><p>14.<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Install software applications.&nbsp;</p><p>15.<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Knowledge of oscilloscope use preferred but not required. &nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p><strong><u>Education, Training, and Experience:</u></strong></p><p>1.<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>An associate degree in electronics is preferred but not required. &nbsp;3-10 years of experience in electromechanical test and repair is essential.</p><p>2.<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>This position requires good attention to detail and the ability to work from written test instructions.</p><p>3.<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Proficient in reading blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematic drawings, or written work instructions for assembling electronic units.</p><p>4.<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Working knowledge of electronic theory and components.</p><p>5.<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Soldering proficiency for both mechanical joints and electrical connections preferred but not required.</p><p>6.<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Ability to troubleshoot and analyze failures using electronic test equipment and software.</p><p>7.<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Experience with accelerator systems (RF, high power electronics, high vacuum, superconducting magnets) is a strong plus.</p><p>8.<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Experience with controlled documentation and FDA compliance.</p><p><br></p><p><u><strong>Physical and Environmental Considerations:</strong></u></p><p>1.<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Must be able to Sit/Stand for long periods of time.</p><p>2.<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Required use of standard office equipment including laptop, phone, copier, etc.</p><p>3.<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Typical office environment.</p><p>4.<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>The employee will work in high magnetic fields, with high voltages, and with radiation and radioactive materials. &nbsp;</p><p>5.&nbsp; &nbsp; The employee may be involved in light rigging operations.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p>\n",
