    "description": "<h2>About the Role</h2>\n<p>Donohoe Companies is hiring a Building Maintenance Mechanic to join a large facility in Washington. We are looking for a maintenance technician with strong HVAC experience who is able to work on AC unit as necessary. Daily responsibilities will include general maintenance in addition to HVAC responsibilities. License is not required but experience with AC equipment is a must. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Hours for this position</strong>: 7:00am to 3:30pm, Monday through Friday. </p>\n<p><strong>Salary:</strong> $33-$40 per hour depending on experience/license.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Major Duties:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Perform daily, weekly and monthly inspections of systems and associated equipment.</li>\n <li>Perform preventative and general maintenance on a scheduled basis.</li>\n <li>Maintain equipment to industry standards.</li>\n <li>Diagnose and repair HVAC, plumbing and electrical problems as required and/or as assigned by supervisor.</li>\n <li>Provide assistance and support to sub-contractors designated to perform installation and/or repair of equipment and/or hardware as required.</li>\n <li>Interface with building manager and other customer representatives in order to ensure client satisfaction.</li>\n <li>Complete daily, weekly and/or monthly reports of system status as directed by supervisor.</li>\n <li>Run wiring, cabling, and ductwork, and mount equipment according to specifications as directed.</li>\n <li>Place or remove systems and equipment as directed.</li>\n <li>Purchase materials and supplies, and maintain inventory as required for timely work completion.</li>\n <li>Prepare and distribute daily, weekly and monthly reports of system status and work completed.</li>\n <li>Operate and maintain HVAC, electrical and security systems and associated hardware and equipment as directed.</li>\n <li>Prepare predictive maintenance on assigned equipment in order to prevent breakdowns and/or outages.</li>\n <li>Must be able to pass background check.</li>\n <li>Accurately document work performed on tickets and/or work orders.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>You Should Have</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>3-5 years of experience operating, maintaining commercial buildings in the last 5 years</li>\n <li>Requires reliable transportation</li>\n <li>Strong HVAC experience</li>\n <li>High school diploma or GED preferred</li>\n <li>Hands on equipment experience including, but not limited to: changing filters, grease bearings, repairing flush valves, stop valves, change ballast/light bulbs</li>\n <li>Excellent customer service skills</li>\n <li>EPA Universal 608 (CFC) license </li>\n</ul>\n<p>                                                                                                     EOE, including disability/veterans  </p>\n<h2>Why You'll Love Working With Us</h2>\n<p>Donohoe Companies is a company that is passionate about the operation and maintenance of buildings/facilities in the commercial and government sectors.
