    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><p data-pasted=\"true\">Purpose of the job</p><p><br></p><p>Under minimal supervision, apply mechanical and electrical skills to perform corrective and preventative maintenance for production, fabrication, service equipment, and facilities.</p><p><br></p><p>Duties and Tasks:</p><p><br></p><p>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p>Troubleshoot; evaluate and repair; devise and improvise; make corrections or adjustments; use tools and testing devices to maintain equipment under the direction of the Supervisor/Maintenance Manager.</p><p>Perform mechanical and light electrical maintenance on production equipment, facilities equipment, laboratory equipment and testing equipment in accordance with preventative maintenance programs.</p><p>Maintain awareness of new systems and techniques to upgrade existing equipment and processes.</p><p>Follow safety procedures and always work carefully to prevent injuries and avoid damage to company property.</p><p>Regular and predictable attendance.</p><p>Complete and maintain all required reports.</p><p>Effectively communicate and cooperate with supervisors and co-workers to achieve company goals and objectives.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p>Other Functions:</p><p><br></p><p>Regularly keep equipment and work area clean and organized.</p><p>Routinely check tools to keep in proper working order.</p><p>Help maintain inventory of repair parts and supplies.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p>Additional information:</p><p><br></p><p>PHYSICAL (*See definition reference, below)</p><p>- Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.</p><p>- Frequent standing and walking</p><p>- Frequent bending, stretching, reaching, crawling, squatting, and lying-in prone position</p><p>- Occasional pushing or pulling using medium force</p><p>- Speak clearly and distinctly to communicate verbally with others</p><p>- Hear clearly to understand verbal communications from others and to hear the sounds of running equipment to detect mechanical problems</p><p>- Color vision to distinguish between color-coded electric wiring</p><p>- Manual dexterity for fine manipulation of equipment wiring and installing/repairing machine parts/components</p><p>ENVIRONMENTAL</p><p>- May be required at times to work near machinery which could burn skin upon contact</p><p>- Possible exposure to chemical vapors/odors</p><p>- Possible exposure to moving mechanical parts including cutting blades, and rollers which may subject worker to possible cuts, fractures, or crushed hands, feet or other body parts</p><p>- Possible exposure to electrical shock or electrocution</p><p>- Moderate noise level</p><p>- Working in high temperature ranges occasionally and may be required at times to work outside in inclement weather</p><p>- May be required to work in confined areas, and open-spaced heights up to thirty feet</p><p>PROTECTIVE CLOTHING/DEVICES</p><p>- Safety glasses</p><p>- Heat-resistant safety gloves</p><p>- Anti-static, steel-toed safety shoes</p><p>FREQUENTLY USED TOOLS/EQUIPMENT</p><p>- General maintenance tools</p><p>- Electrical/electronic testing devices</p><p>- Ladders</p><p>Definition reference</p><p>Occasional - Activity exists up to 1/3 of the time</p><p>Frequent - Activity exists from 1/3 to 2/3 of the time</p><p>Continuous - Activity exists 2/3 or more of the time</p><p>Medium force: Exerting up to 25 lbs. force</p><p><br></p></div></div>\n",
