    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Our Summer Camp Team is seeking multiple part-time temporary </span><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Camp Leaders (Summer Camp Leaders) </span><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">(35 hours per week). The summer Camp Group Leader will work in child, youth and community development with children and youth living in the Regent Park, St. Jamestown, Moss Park and Cabbagetown neighbourhoods.</span><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\"><span>This 8/9-week role will run from June 22 until July 31, 2026 and August 10 - August 21,2026, with one (unpaid) week off between August 3-9, 2026 due to a break in the summer camp schedule.</span></span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Please note that this job opening is for Canada Summer Jobs applicants only, who must meet the participant requirements under the Canada Summer Jobs Agreement with the Employment and Social Development Canada as outlined:</span></p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">between 15 and 30 years of age (inclusive) at the start of employment;</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person on whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act and;</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Responsibilities:</span><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Coordinate, plan, inspire, supervise and facilitate children and youth at day camp </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Provide leadership for indoor / outdoor sports, ‘STEAM’ projects, field trips, teaching, and other organized activities over a 6-week period (plus 2-week orientation). </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Encourage camp participants to build stronger relationships, develop leadership skills, overcome social barriers and foster recognition that they have the capacity to improve their own communities</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Assist in fully integrating children with special needs into camp programs</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Participate in the planning and implementing of a community event and other special events</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Attend to other duties as required by the Summer Camp</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Qualifications:</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Minimum completion of grade 11</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Dynamic and enthusiastic, with a passion for and knowledge of children and youth from under resourced areas with experience in a multicultural multi-faith setting</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Previous camp facilitating experience (ie. group leader is an asset)</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Leadership skills, communication skills and ability to motivate children and youth in a high energy environment</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Team builders, flexible, resilient, with a teachable spirit</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Media and Tech competency (ie. video / music editing, animation and coding) is essential</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Creative thinking and skill to help develop and plan tech projects for children</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Patient, positive, hardworking attitude and demonstrated recreational &amp;
