Save and tag parts if the job is under warranty or if requested by the customer.</span></li>\n<li><br><span>Examine the vehicle to determine if additional safety or service work is required.</span></li>\n<li><br><span>Advise Service Advisor immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the time promised.</span></li>\n<li><br><span>Inform dispatcher when job is started, finished, or interrupted. Be particularly attentive to repair orders on vehicles marked “RUSH” or “CUSTOMER WAITING”.</span></li>\n<li><br><span>Ensure that protective measures are taken with every vehicle i.e. (Seat Covers, Fender Liners, Floor Mats, Steering Wheel &amp; Shifter Covers)</span></li>\n<li><br><span>Complete and maintain documentation of work performed.</span></li>\n<li><br><span>Road-test vehicles to quality-check work performed.</span></li>\n<li><br><span>Ensure vehicle cleanliness after vehicle service is complete.</span></li>\n<li><br><span>Supervise work of any Apprentice technicians as assigned to you by management.</span></li>\n<li><br><span>Attend factory-sponsored training classes. Keep abreast of factory technical bulletins.</span></li>\n<li><br><span>Keep shop area neat, clean and free of safety hazards.</span></li>\n<li><br><span>Comply with Federal, Provincial and Municipal regulations, such as those governing the disposal of </span><span>hazardous wastes.</span></li>\n<li><br><span>Assist in creating quotes for additional work required.</span></li>\n<li><br><span>Keep up to date on online training as required</span></li>\n<li><br><span>Follow company safety policies and practices, and immediately, report any and all accidents to a</span><span> Manager/Supervisor.</span></li>\n<li><br><span>This position will be expected to perform other duties as assigned by management.</span></li>\n<li><br><span>OpenRoad reserves the right to modify this job description as business needs require.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span> </span></p>\n<p><span>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED</span></p>\n<p><span> </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><br><span>Valid Ontario Driver’s License</span></li>\n<li><br><span>Valid Ministry of Ontario Motor Vehicle Inspection License (310S)</span></li>\n<li><br><span>Working knowledge of automotive equipment.</span></li>\n<li><br><span>Possess strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills in order to maintain optimal customer satisfaction.</span></li>\n<li><br><span>A highly self-motivated and organized individual.</span></li>\n<li><br><span>Well-developed interpersonal skills to effectively work with other members of the Service Department team.</span></li>\n<li><br><span>Must be committed to consistently delivering high quality work.</span></li>\n<li><br><span>Ability to make sound decisions in a manner consistent with the essential job functions.</span></li>\n<li><br><span>Valid ODP Certificate (Ozone Depletion Prevention)</span></li>\n<li><br><span>Valid Lift Certificate</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span> </span></p>\n<p><span>Internal Candidates MUST apply by filling out the </span><span><a href=\"https://intranet.openroadautogroup.com/forms/viewform.cfm?formid=191\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Internal Endorsement Form</a></span><span> on the Intranet.
