    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><link href=\"https://static.workforcenow.adp.com/mas/mdf-components/24.28.20/styles/froala_editor.pkgd.min.css\" rel=\"stylesheet\" type=\"text/css\">&nbsp;<link href=\"https://static.workforcenow.adp.com/mas/mdf-components/24.28.20/styles/froala_style.min.css\" rel=\"stylesheet\" type=\"text/css\"><div><div><div class=\"fr-view\"><div><div><p><strong>PURPOSE</strong></p><p>The Service Technician-Automation is responsible for supporting onsite or remote troubleshooting of existing Building Automation Systems (BAS), performing preventative software maintenance and completing upgrade/retrofit projects. &nbsp;Roles and responsibilities will be in line with the strategic goals of Baker Group. Maintain and grow the &ldquo;Client for Life&rdquo; concept for existing and new clients. &nbsp;Performs related work as required.</p><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p><p><strong><em>The following duties are typical for this job. These are not to be constructed as exclusive or all inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.</em></strong></p><p>&nbsp;</p><ul><li>Provide day-to-day technical support and troubleshooting and deliver integrated solutions on Building IT by Baker Group products and various other control products and technical integration (integrations to 3<sup>rd</sup> part systems) to operations</li><li>Actively participate in technician training &nbsp;</li><li>Present updated technical support to field technicians on company products</li><li>Deploy software upgrades and manage licensing</li><li>Diagnose and repair software issues on client sites</li><li>Diagnose and repair DDC issues with controllers, sensors, actuators, VFDs, relays, pneumatics, etc.</li><li>Work with other technicians to develop and share technical solutions</li><li>Review new technical documentation and provide communications and training from other field technicians</li><li>Maintain technical expertise on all new products, tools, and integration through continuing education initiatives</li><li>Attend project turnover meetings with Project Manager to gain knowledge of estimate and project scope</li><li>Create automation system database and job-related programming for computer-based building or industrial control systems</li><li>Establish special calibration instructions on selected equipment</li><li>Perform creation of system graphics and DDC systems graphics</li><li>Troubleshoot possible issues including identifying and debugging software, electrical or pneumatic and installation problems</li><li>Organize and maintain control submittal project redlines; turn over to design engineer for as built creation at project end</li><li>Assist in and/or provide on-site assistance with programming, start-up, checkout, commissioning, and validation processes</li><li>Participate in job site final walk-through on assigned jobs, complete all job closeout documentation and provide training to clients</li><li>Act as technical resource to existing clients and field employees as needed</li><li>Coordinate work with subcontractors and Project Manager</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>MINIMUM EDUCATION &amp; EXPERIENCE REQUIRED TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS</strong></p><ul><li>Experience with HVAC &amp; DDC systems preferred</li><li>2-year degree in Electronics or Computer Programming or relevant years of experience with HVAC or Industrial Controls</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>MENTAL AND PHYSICAL COMPETENCIES REQUIRED TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS</strong></p><ul><li>Excellent computer skills</li><li>Customer service and communication skills</li></ul><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>ENVIRONMENTAL ADAPTABILITY</strong></p><p>At any given time, may be exposed to:</p>&nbsp;<ul type=\"disc\"><li>Exposure to weather, heat, cold</li><li>Wet and/or humid</li><li>Vibration</li><li>Work at Heights, in a confined space or in a trench&nbsp;</li><li>Exposure to dust/fumes</li><li>Noise intensity &ndash; Loud</li><li>Proximity to moving mechanical parts</li><li>Exposure to electrical shock</li><li>Exposure to toxic/caustic chemicals</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>EQUIPMENT/TOOLS</strong></p><ul><li>Laptop PC</li><li>Electronic Multimeter</li><li>Specialized Calibration Equipment</li><li>Decade Box</li><li>Ladders</li><li>Hand tools/Light power tools</li></ul><p><em id=\"isPasted\"><strong>Baker Group&nbsp;</strong></em><strong>is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
