    "description": "<p>DAEOC is seeking substitutes for our Head Start/Early Head Start centers.  The successful candidate will work cooperatively, assisting the center staff with the operations of the center/classroom and other duties as deemed necessary.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Essential Job Responsibilities:</p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Carry out assigned duties according the Head Start Performance Standards and Program Policies and Procedures.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Assist classroom staff and be actively engaged and involved in the operations of the classroom.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Assist with any assessments and screenings as directed.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Assure that no child is left alone.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Ensure proper voice tone is used with children, families, staff and public.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Assist in center as directed.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Assist with data entry as directed.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">General Job Responsibilities:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Build and maintain positive relationships with children and families served through the Head Start/Early Head Start program.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Promote Head Start/Early Head Start goals and ideals.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Serve as an advocate for the children and families receiving Head Start/Early Head Start services.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Maintain confidentiality of all information relating to children, families, and staff.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Maintain knowledge of and compliance with the Head Start Performance standards and program policies and procedures.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Maintain respectful and professional demeanor with children, families, public, coworkers, and management.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Respect the diversity and culture of each child and family.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Demonstrate a positive attitude and use positive language.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Arrive to and depart work site regularly and on-time.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Must be a team player and assist other center staff when necessary.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Provides parents and public with appropriate literature and materials regarding Head Start and other community resources.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Maintain First Aide and CPR certification.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Report all instances of child abuse and neglect as required by law and submit a written report of all hotline calls according to program policies and procedures.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Qualifications:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>A valid Missouri Driver's License</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Hours:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Substitute Position / On an As-Needed Basis</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><em>DAEOC is an equal opportunity employer.
