Position Overview Reporting to the Facility Manager, the Industrial Electrician plays a critical role in maintaining and troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems within the warehouse. This hands-on role requires a proactive problem-solver who can work independently, communicate effectively, and uphold high standards of safety and efficiency. Key Responsibilities Electrical Maintenance & Repair Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of electrical systems Identify MHE problems and work with operators to ensure the vendor is contacted to do the repair Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues promptly to minimize operational downtime. Ensure compliance with all relevant electrical codes and safety standards. Maintain lighting systems, including LED fixtures, and perform basic building maintenance. Manage battery watering, sweeper/scrubber upkeep, and vendor coordination for rentals and fleet augmentation. Technical Support & Problem Solving Able to identify problems associated with MHE. Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to escalate issues and manage spare parts. Document findings and communicate resolutions clearly to stakeholders. Recommend and implement improvements to enhance system reliability and performance. Qualifications & Skills Valid Ontario Electrician License (309A or 442A). 2–4 years of experience in electrical maintenance within a warehouse or distribution centre. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities. Effective communication skills and a commitment to health and safety. Ability to work independently and take ownership of electrical systems. Familiarity with working in a fast-paced 3PL industry is an asset. Additional assets: PLC knowledge, Microsoft Office proficiency, completed apprenticeship, JHSC certification. Additional Requirements Day shift and afternoon shift open position On-call availability on the weekends and must have a valid driver’s license. Comfortable with physical tasks including lifting up to 25 lbs and repetitive motion. Comfortable working at heights MHE license & scissor lift license an asset Experience working with conveyor, control systems *This is a new position introduced to support current business requirements. Salary Range: $80,000–$100,000 a year / The final agreed upon salary may vary based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills and experience.
