We are looking for a tech-savvy IT Support Specialist to join our team. In this role, you aren't just fixing laptops; you are a guardian of our office connectivity and cloud productivity. You will balance high-touch end-user support with the critical management of our local servers, network stack, and Microsoft 365 environment.
Core Responsibilities:
• Omnichannel Support: Act as the primary point of contact for technical assistance via phone, email, and chat, providing professional and empathetic service.
• End-to-End Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve Tier 1 and Tier 2 issues involving Windows hardware, software, and peripheral devices
• Microsoft 365 Administration: Manage the O365 suite, including user licensing, Exchange/Outlook troubleshooting, Teams configuration, and SharePoint permissions.
• Infrastructure & Datacenter Management: Perform physical and logical maintenance within the datacenter. This includes racking/stacking equipment, cable management (patching), and monitoring environmental controls.
• Network Continuity: Troubleshoot and support office connectivity (Wi-Fi, LAN, and VPN). You will work with switches, routers, and firewalls to ensure 100% uptime.
• Server Administration: Support the health of local and virtualized servers. Manage user permissions via Active Directory, perform routine backups, and assist with server-side upgrades.
• System Ownership: Deploy, configure, and maintain the health of laptops, desktops, and mobile devices (MDM).
• Knowledge Management: Build and maintain a robust internal knowledge base. Create user-friendly FAQs, "how-to" guides, and standardized SOPs.
• Vendor Liaison: Coordinate with third-party vendors for hardware repairs and software escalations to ensure minimal downtime.
• Proactive Maintenance: Identify recurring technical trends and implement long-term fixes. Perform "health checks" on workstations, servers, and networking hardware.
Technical Qualifications:
• Experience: 2+ years in a technical support role (or an Associate’s degree in MIS/CIS with 1+ years of corporate IT experience).
• Cloud & Hybrid Tools: Microsoft 365 Administration experience is a strong plus. Familiarity with Azure AD (Entra ID) and Intune is highly valued.
• Networking & Servers: Hands-on experience with Active Directory, DNS/DHCP, and basic networking protocols. Familiarity with server hardware and datacenter standards is essential.
• Tech Stack: Deep familiarity with Microsoft environments (Windows Server/Windows 11) and core business applications.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional interpersonal skills with a focus on rapport-building and the ability to translate "tech-speak" for non-technical users; approachability and a positive attitude are key.
Requirements & Logistics:
• Flexibility: Ability to work a standard 5-day week with occasional Saturday rotations and on-call remote support.
• Physical Ability: Able to lift and install server/networking equipment in a datacenter environment.
• Mobility: Must have reliable transportation to our headquarters.
• Compliance: Undergo background check in compliance with New York Department of State, Division of Licensing Services requirements. (Having a criminal history does not automatically disqualify anyone from being hired.)
