Instead, we encourage faculty to pursue research in medical education, public health, or related scholarly areas.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Duties &amp; Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Serve as a content expert in physiology.</li><li>Facilitate small group learning and collaborate on case-based learning sessions.</li><li>Develop and prepare educational materials.</li><li>Provide reliable and valid formative and summative assessment items, including board-style questions.</li><li>Engage with all students to help them achieve their fullest potential.</li><li>Advise, mentor, and provide constructive feedback to students.</li><li>Participate in departmental and institutional committees.</li><li>Act as a course director as needed in the preclinical curriculum.</li><li>Engage in scholarly activity, including but not limited to education, teaching methods, or community-based research.</li><li>Contribute to faculty development offerings and curricular meetings.</li><li>Interview prospective students for ATSU-SOMA.</li><li>Accept assignments and directives from the Department Chair and Curricular Deans.</li><li>Perform additional duties as assigned to meet the goals and mission of ATSU-SOMA.</li></ul>",
