These systems may consist of pipes, fittings, fixtures and boilers for hydronic heating, water, med gas and drainage systems.<br><br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Required Skills:</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Competent, responsible, organized and team oriented</span></li>\n<li><span>Strong communication and average computer skills</span></li>\n<li><span>Excellent customer service interaction and a desire to fix the problem to satisfy the customers' needs</span></li>\n<li><span>Strong basic math skills, architectural plans, drawings and mechanical design</span></li>\n<li><span>Ability to follow instructions with minimal to no supervision</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Essential Job Functions:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Wears all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required at all times</span></li>\n<li><span>Explains pricing for customers</span></li>\n<li><span>Collection of money for services rendered</span></li>\n<li><span>Diagnoses problems and/or failures in a variety of plumbing and gas systems</span></li>\n<li><span>Repairs and installs various types of piping including iron, steel, copper and pvc</span></li>\n<li><span>Inspects equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects</span></li>\n<li><span>Operates powered equipment including hand tools, stationary machines, and others</span></li>\n<li><span>Makes decisions by analyzing information and evaluating results</span></li>\n<li><span>Maintains a high-quality initiative while completing assigned duties</span></li>\n<li><span>Tests for leaks in new and repaired systems with compressed air and/or water</span></li>\n<li><span>Lawfully drive a motor vehicle and maintain a current driver's license in order to commute to the various current or prospective job sites in the region</span></li>\n<li><span>Overnight travel as necessary within the region for corporate meetings, on-site project follow-up and conferences</span></li>\n<li><span>Provides daily direction to assigned Apprentices on the job site and actively participates in training and development of Apprentices</span></li>\n<li><span>Maintains a positive attitude to drive and build positive morale</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Minimum Job Requirements:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Available for overtime upon occasion</span></li>\n<li><span>Ability to work independently and with others</span></li>\n<li><span>Great mechanical skills and willingness to learn new things</span></li>\n<li><span>Ability to verbally communicate with management, city officials, on-site customers and other employees</span></li>\n<li><span>Ability to operate a motor vehicle and possess a valid driver's license</span></li>\n<li><span>Reliable transportation to get to the Midwestern Mechanical shop</span></li>\n<li><span>Ability to work well under pressure, meeting multiple and sometimes competing deadlines</span></li>\n<li><span>Ability to read and interpret written materials, perform basic mathematical computations and use measuring tools</span></li>\n<li><span>Ability to lift 50 lbs. on a continuous basis and more than 50 lbs. occasionally</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Educational and Experience Requirements:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Completion of High School Diploma or equivalent required</span></li>\n<li><span>Journeyman Plumber license preferred, or eligible to test for license</span></li>\n<li><span>Field experience in plumbing as a Journeyman Plumber preferred</span></li>\n<li><span>Boiler experience in residential and /or commercial application is preferred</span></li>\n<li><span>Field experience in plumbing as a Journeyman Plumber in commercial applications preferred</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Disclaimer:</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">The above declarations are not intended to be an all-inclusive list of the duties and responsibilities of the job described, nor are they intended to be such a listing of the skills and abilities required to do the job.
