WAREHOUSE TEAM LEADER IMPACT and OPPORTUNITY Coordinate internal and external warehouse operations, ensuring all activities are executed in compliance with safety procedures. Guarantee timely and accurate material supply to production lines, meeting required quality and quantity standards to maintain inventory reliability. Evaluate team performance regularly and drive continuous improvement across warehouse processes. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES Process optimization: Streamline workflows to improve efficiency to reduce time and costs. Order fulfillment: Ensure timely and accurate delivery of customer orders. Team management: Assign tasks, schedule shifts, and monitor employee performance. Inventory management: Support on monitor stock levels, cycle counts, and reconcile discrepancies. Equipment management: Oversee use and maintenance of forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse tools. Training & development: Provide onboarding and ongoing training for warehouse staff. Conflict resolution: Address employee concerns and foster a positive work environment. Performance evaluation: Conduct reviews and provide feedback to improve productivity. Enforce safety standards: Ensure compliance with NOMs and company safety policies. Maintain security: Safeguard warehouse assets against theft or damage. Regulatory compliance: Adhere to shipping, handling, and storage regulations. Emergency preparedness: Implement procedures for accidents, spills, or other incidents. Documentation: Maintain records of shipments, receipts, and inventory transactions. Reporting: Prepare performance and productivity reports for management. Budget oversight: Monitor labor and operational costs to stay within budget. Collaboration: Coordinate with procurement, logistics, import/export and sales teams. Strong leadership and communication abilities Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS - SAP desirable) Problem-solving and decision-making skills Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Create MRO and consumables purchase orders through Onventis. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of proven experience as a Warehouse Team Leader or similar role, managing large teams (50+ hourly employees). Demonstrated ability to lead and develop operational teams, including personnel with limited technical or procedural mindset. Hands-on experience in warehouse operations, inventory control, and material flow to production lines. Strong conflict resolution and team management skills, with a results-oriented and disciplined leadership style. High resilience and adaptability to high-pressure environments and demanding workloads. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and familiarity with ERP/WMS systems. Excellent communication and coordination skills across functional areas. Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement mindset. Fully bilingual in English and Spanish (written and spoken). PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Previous experience in automotive or manufacturing industry environments with complex logistics operations. Proven track record of leading high-turnover teams while maintaining discipline, productivity, and engagement. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement tools applied in warehouse settings. Experience managing cross-functional coordination between warehouse, production, and planning teams. Strong analytical skills for problem-solving, root cause identification, and process optimization. Familiarity with inventory audits, cycle counts, and physical inventory procedures. Ability to train, coach, and upskill team members with limited technical background. Experience working in multi-shift and rotating schedule environments, adapting to business needs. Comfortable working in fast-paced, demanding and dynamic environments with minimal supervision.
