Our leading brands include<strong> ITT Cannon, Enidine, Aerospace Controls</strong> and <strong>kSARIA. </strong></p>\n<h2>Position Summary</h2>\n<p>ITT is seeking a Senior Electro-Mechanical Engineer for VIDAR, a breakthrough in industrial motors. VIDAR is a patented motor with embedded variable speed intelligence built for harsh industrial environments. For decades, variable speed drives have been bulky, expensive, and hard to install, which stalled adoption at just 15 percent of rotating equipment. VIDAR changes that. It installs as easily as replacing a motor, cuts total installed cost by up to 50 percent compared to a VFD, and opens a $6B market with no direct competitor targeting industrial environments. </p>\n<h2>Essential Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Design complex machine components and/or systems using standard design procedures</li>\n <li>Provides FEA, CFD and thermal analysis of complex electro-mechanical systems</li>\n <li>Conduct component and system analysis using computer simulation and/or laboratory testing</li>\n <li>Coordinates with manufacturing partners to ensure production releases meet design criteria</li>\n <li>Develops and maintains mechanical models and drawings</li>\n <li>Ensure products meet safety and agency requirements (ex. UL, IEC, NEMA, ATEX)</li>\n <li>Support safety and quality certification testing and documentation</li>\n <li>Evaluate design; perform root cause analysis and identify solutions</li>\n <li>Interact with customers and project partners relating to program goals</li>\n <li>Maintain organizational standards of quality and performance</li>\n <li>Prepare technical reports on results and design decisions</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Position Requirements</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>B.S. degree in mechanical engineering or similar and 10+ years of experience in the rotating equipment industry OR M.S. degree in mechanical engineering or similar and 5+ years of experience in the rotating equipment industry.</li>\n <li>Industrial electric motor design experience is preferred</li>\n <li>Knowledge of castings, machining and fabrication processes</li>\n <li>Knowledge of ANSI, ASME industry codes & standards</li>\n <li>Knowledge of NEMA and IEC motor standards</li>\n <li>Proficient in CREO and related tool suites</li>\n <li>Travel < 20%</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>#LI-MC1</p>\n<p>#IP1</p>\n<h2>Equal Pay Act Statement</h2>We aim to pay our ‘ITT’ers’ fairly and competitively in the locations that they live and work.
