    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><div><p id=\"isPasted\"><strong><u>Job Summary: &nbsp;</u></strong></p><p>Responsible for providing direct patient care and/or direct ancillary support services as directed by the provider or other medical/nursing staff. This position is of greater responsibility than a Medical Assistant I and is expected to have a higher clinical knowledge and skill set.</p><p><strong><u>Functions and Duties:</u></strong></p><ul><li>Contact patients via phone or mail regarding the need to be medically evaluated on a periodic basis or due to abnormal test results or missed appointments.</li><li>Contribute to the orderliness of the patients&rsquo; and staffs&rsquo; environment in collaborative responsibility for the patient.</li><li>Report complaints or questions from the patient and/or family member to the health center or office manager.&nbsp;</li><li>Cooperate with direct supervisor in seeking ways to improve the quality of patient care and more efficient nursing time management.</li><li>Work as cooperative member of the staff to provide quality patient care.</li><li>Clarify with provide on orders or procedures which involve quality patient care.</li><li>Take patients&rsquo; blood pressure, weight, temperature, notifying nurse or provider responsible for that patient of any unusual findings.</li><li>Answer phone and provide a clear message in the patient&rsquo;s chart.&nbsp;</li><li>Clean and restock examination rooms.</li><li>Administer intramuscular, subcutaneous and intradermal injections after checking the five rights for medication administration and for the presence of allergies prior to administration and observing for side effects after administration.</li><li>Perform skin puncture and venipuncture in laboratory when necessary.</li><li>Obtain laboratory specimens.&nbsp;</li><li>Complete electrocardiograms.</li><li>Monitor and stock supplies on a regular basis, notifying proper person of low levels of supplies.</li><li>Perform other duties as assigned.</li><li>Performs all other duties as assigned.</li><li>Perform other duties as assigned.</li></ul><p><strong><u>Minimum Qualifications:</u></strong></p><p><u>Education</u></p><ul><li>High School diploma or a GED equivalent required.</li><li>Graduate of an accredited school for Medical Assistants required.</li></ul><p><u>Experience</u></p><ul><li>6 &ndash; 12 months working as an Medical Assistant in a clinical setting preferred.</li></ul><p><u>Certifications, Licenses, and Registrations</u></p><ul><li>Active Certified Medical Assistant or Registered Medical Assistant certification required.</li><li>BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.</li></ul><p><u>Skills and Abilities</u></p><ul><li>Requires advanced knowledge of basic medical terminology and procedures.</li></ul><p><strong><u>Physical Demands:</u></strong></p><ul><li>Light physical activity performing non-strenuous daily activities of a clinical nature. &nbsp;Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.</li><li>Must be able to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) (mask, gown, gloves) when required</li></ul></div></div></div>\n<br/>8am-430pm, M-F",
