The Levy Group of Companies &nbsp;is looking for a &nbsp;<strong>Field Service Technician</strong> to work out of our Huger, SC Location with &nbsp;the ability to travel to additional locations across the U.S. <strong>(OH, AR, WV, WA, KY, OH, IN, MS, TX, TN)</strong>. The Field Service Technician travels to Levy sites for the purpose of assessing and repairing heavy-duty, off-road construction equipment.</div><div><br>&nbsp;</div><div><strong>Pay: $50-$55 per hour</strong></div><div><br>&nbsp;</div><div><strong>Benefits</strong></div><div><ul><li>Competitive benefits package including Medical, Dental, Prescription, 401(K) with 3% Employer Contribution, Long- and Short-term Disability</li><li>Year round, non-weather dependent employment</li><li>Tuition Reimbursement for qualified skilled trade programs</li><li>Student Loan Repayment Program</li><li>Employee Referral Program</li></ul></div><div>&nbsp;</div><div><strong>Responsibilities</strong></div><div>The Field Service Technician:</div><div><ul><li>Travels to Levy locations via field service truck or air</li><li>Performs inspections of mobile equipment</li><li>Operates and inspects equipment to assess equipment malfunctions</li><li>Uses computerized diagnostic system to assist with the identification of malfunctions (CAT ET, Cummings)</li><li>Makes recommendations for process to repair equipment and parts to be ordered</li><li>Participates in the training and development of less skilled mechanics</li><li>Operates and maintains field service truck</li><li>Dismantles and reassembles heavy equipment to gain access to areas of concern</li><li>Examines part for excessive wear and determines reusability</li><li>Repairs, replaces, cleans and lubricates parts and components as necessary</li><li>Diagnoses and repairs hydraulic systems, electrical systems and mechanical systems</li><li>Welds, cuts and fabricates equipment and components</li><li>Completes maintenance check list and tests repaired equipment to ensure accurate completion of repair</li><li>Makes recommendations for equipment to be repaired by outside sources when necessary</li><li>Maintains records and reporting</li><li>Meets customer service requirements</li><li>Complies with all safety regulations and policies</li><li>Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor<br>&nbsp;</li></ul></div><div><strong>Skills</strong></div><div>The ideal candidate will have:</div><div><ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent</li><li>Expert knowledge of off-road, heavy equipment</li><li>Expert knowledge of diesel engines and operations systems</li><li>Expert knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems</li><li>Expert knowledge of driveline components</li><li>Expert knowledge of steering mechanics and suspensions</li><li>Valid drivers license with good driving record</li><li>Ability to travel by ground and by air</li><li>Ability to obtain CDL if required</li><li>Mechanical skills</li><li>Welding, cutting and fabricating skills</li><li>Ability to manipulate tools</li><li>Ability to operate equipment</li><li>Ability to read and write</li><li>Ability to understand manuals</li></ul></div><div><br>&nbsp;</div><div><strong>To Apply</strong></div><div>Please submit your resume.
