    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><div><div><div><div><link href=\"https://static.workforcenow.adp.com/mas/mdf-components/24.23.14/styles/froala_editor.pkgd.min.css\" rel=\"stylesheet\" type=\"text/css\">&nbsp;<link href=\"https://static.workforcenow.adp.com/mas/mdf-components/24.23.14/styles/froala_style.min.css\" rel=\"stylesheet\" type=\"text/css\"><div class=\"fr-view\"><div><link href=\"https://static.workforcenow.adp.com/mas/mdf-components/23.41.21/styles/froala_editor.pkgd.min.css\" rel=\"stylesheet\" type=\"text/css\">&nbsp;<link href=\"https://static.workforcenow.adp.com/mas/mdf-components/23.41.21/styles/froala_style.min.css\" rel=\"stylesheet\" type=\"text/css\"><div class=\"fr-view\"><p id=\"isPasted\">Shipping Manager Job Description</p><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>Job Title:&nbsp;</strong>Shipping&nbsp;Manager</p><p><strong>Department:</strong> Shipping/Receiving</p><p><strong>Reports to:</strong> General Manager</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Summary:</strong> Responsible for general supply inventory, warehouse cleanliness, all drivers, and fleet activities.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Note:</strong> In the absence or incapacity of the Shipping Manager, their duties and responsibilities will be undertaken by the Shipping Assistant Supervisor.</p><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities:</strong></p><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Manage shipping and warehouse personnel with continuous improvements.</li><li>Maintain accurate count of all Shipping/Receiving inventory items.</li><li>Track supply movement between warehouse and plant, update office daily.</li><li>Place replenishment orders as needed.</li><li>Ensure trash and rendering removal meets plant needs. &nbsp;Monitor pickups.</li><li>Ensure the complete daily inspection of pallet jacks and lift trucks as needed.</li><li>Utilize fork-lift and stand-up lift to unload vendor deliveries following SOPs.</li><li>Perform minor maintenance on pallet jacks and forklifts.</li><li>Relocate empty barrels from plant to yard as needed.</li><li>Keep suggestion box stocked.</li><li>Must adhere to Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) and HACCP pre-requisite programs, Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), Sanitation Standard Operating Procedure (SSOP) guidelines or Federal regulations.</li></ul><ul><li>Fulfill orders using proper rotation of products keeping in mind customer date requirements.&nbsp;</li><li>Receive products and ensure proper storage.</li><li>Perform daily inventory cycle counts and monthly counts.</li><li>Report to plant manager or maintenance any issues with physical condition of warehouse and equipment.</li><li>Calculate and report shipping performance.</li><li>Properly document incoming and outgoing shipments, and handling and disposition of materials.</li><li>Ensure materials and equipment are staged for production.</li><li>Oversee food safety requirements and notify Q/A of any non-conforming conditions or products.</li><li>Maintain department&rsquo;s cleanliness, organization and safety.</li><li>Train and certify personnel on material handling equipment (pallet jacks and forklifts).</li><li>Order pallets and return bad pallets.</li><li>Setup CHEP pallet returns.</li><li>Perform and log daily leaker checks.</li><li>Handle order pickups for walk-in customers.</li><li>Advise production of needs for products in Save-a-Lot boxes.</li><li>Review load sheets before turned in to office.</li><li>Track all QA tags.</li><li>Maintain segregation of products in allergen area.</li></ul><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>Transportation Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Ensure drivers and equipment are performing as necessary to provide on-time service.</li><li>Ensure all fleet maintenance programs are current on trucks, tractors, and trailers.</li><li>Maintain driver results by training, coaching, counseling and disciplining employees, planning, monitoring and appraising job results.</li><li>Conduct driver meetings as required.</li><li>Confirm drivers are operating in accordance with DOT regulations to include driver logs, driver hours, ELDs, accident reporting and investigation, and monitoring of DOT website.</li><li>Train and certify personnel on material handling equipment (pallet jacks and forklifts).</li><li>Monitor and maintain DVIRs (Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports), both pre-trip and post trip.</li><li>Determine delivery routes and dispatch drivers, accordingly, optimizing efficiencies in time and cost.</li><li>Review off-hours actions by shipping and driver personnel on the video system.</li><li>Monitor Verizon Connect for driver delivery and safety performance.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Other duties assigned as required.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Qualifications:</strong> Individuals must meet the requirements listed below and perform each essential function satisfactorily. Requirements are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability necessary.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Education and/or Experience:</strong> High school diploma or general education degree (GED). &nbsp;All personnel will receive HACCP, Pre-requisite program, GMP&rsquo;s and SSOP program training prior to entering plant operations. Must be able to read scales, have basic computer skills, operate stand-up lift and forklift.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Language Skills:&nbsp;</strong>Able to read, analyze and interpret procedure sheets, product labels, training and safety material provided by company. Must effectively communicate with co-workers and management.&nbsp;</p><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>Physical Demands:</strong> Stand, squat, stoop down, twist for entire shift, reach with arms, Lift 70 lbs. from floor to waist height. Climb 6 ft stepladder. Move pallets ranging from 600 &ndash; 2500 lbs. during shift. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Work Environment:</strong> Characteristics described here are representative of those encountered while performing essential functions of this job. Individuals are exposed to dry conditions, temperatures below 45 degrees or above 90 degrees F and concrete floors.
