    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><p><br></p><p id=\"isPasted\">The General Service Technician is responsible for supporting the maintenance, inspection, and minor repair of vehicles in a fast-paced automotive environment. This position plays a vital role in ensuring high-quality service and customer satisfaction by assisting with tire services, oil changes, vehicle inspections, parts handling, and general shop support. The technician will also be expected to maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.</p><p><strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Perform express services such as tire installation and balancing, oil and fluid changes, battery installation, and wiper/headlight replacement.</li><li>Complete Missouri State Vehicle Inspections and warranty checks.</li><li>Conduct digital vehicle inspections, documenting notes and photos for service records.</li><li>Transport customer vehicles to and from sublet shops and shuttle customers as needed.</li><li>Pick up and deliver parts from local warehouses and vendors.</li><li>Maintain proper inventory levels, organize stockrooms, and report supply needs.</li><li>Assist other technicians with repair tasks and diagnostics.</li><li>Keep workstations and shared shop areas clean and organized.</li><li>Attend team meetings and participate in on-the-job and formal training sessions.</li><li>Ensure compliance with all safety standards and company policies.</li><li>Produce accurate, legible documentation of services performed.</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><p><strong>Education:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>High school diploma or equivalent.</li></ul><p><strong>Experience:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Entry-level. Six (6) months of relevant automotive experience preferred but not required.</li></ul><p><strong>Licenses and Certifications (Preferred but not required):</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Missouri State Vehicle Inspector&rsquo;s License.</li><li>Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certifications.</li><li>Valid Driver&rsquo;s License</li></ul><p>&nbsp;<strong>Skills and Competencies:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Basic mechanical and maintenance skills.</li><li>Ability to operate common automotive service tools and equipment.</li><li>Strong work ethic and reliability.</li><li>Effective communication and teamwork abilities.</li><li>Willingness to learn and grow within the company.</li><li>Basic computer literacy.</li></ul><p><strong>Physical Requirements:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Ability to lift 75 lbs consistently, and up to 100 lbs occasionally.</li><li>Ability to stand for extended periods.</li><li>Frequent bending, kneeling, stooping, and squatting.</li><li>Manual dexterity and power grip strength.</li></ul><p><strong>Other:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Valid driver&rsquo;s license with a clean driving record.</li><li>Ability to mount, balance, and install tires within 45 minutes.</li></ul><p><strong>Work Environment:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Fast-paced automotive shop environment.</li><li>Exposure to vehicle noise, fumes, and chemicals.</li><li>Required to wear protective equipment as necessary.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><em>Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
