    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>We are seeking a skilled <strong><em>Fire Alarm Service Technician </em></strong>to join our team. In this role you will need to be familiar with servicing, troubleshooting, and repairing Fire Alarm systems.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Service technicians shall respond to scheduled and emergency service requests and perform in-depth trouble shooting, repair and/or replacement of system equipment.</li>\n <li>Service Technicians will have the ability to program fire alarm systems or have experience with programing low voltage systems including fire alarm, access control, security or CCTV.</li>\n <li>Frequently resolve problems through research of multiple alternatives.</li>\n <li>Communicate and effectively interact with other contractors and building owners.</li>\n <li>Participate in weekly on call rotation.</li>\n <li>Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems programs, schematics, and operational product manuals.</li>\n <li>Assist customers on site with all questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner.</li>\n <li>Effectively communicate project status to management.</li>\n <li>Complete all appropriate company paperwork as required.</li>\n <li>Industry related NICET and/or CA State Certification is preferred or obtain within one year of hire.</li>\n <li>Experience with the following manufacturers: Edwards/EST, Kidde, Notifier, FireLite, Bosch, Silent Knight, DSC, Telguard, and Gamewell/FCI is preferred.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.</li>\n <li>Applicants must meet requirements in relation to background and driving record.</li>\n <li>Must be proficient in the use and application of industry related equipment including MS Office.</li>\n <li>Must have excellent communications skills, using tact and diplomacy when dealing with customers.</li>\n <li>Regular, reliable, predictable attendance.</li>\n <li>Minimum of 2 years of experience in the Fire Alarm/Low Voltage industry.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Physical Requirements:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as climbing a ladder, scaffolding and high lift equipment up to 60 feet, working within ducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings, etc.</li>\n <li>Capable of performing physical labor to include carrying and moving equipment and tools as required and lifting to 75lbs.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>HCI Systems Inc. is a licensed C-7, C-10 and C-16 low voltage systems integration contractor offering a full spectrum of services including sales, engineering, installation, service, and maintenance with over 600 employees in our seven branches.
