Description

About Bundles of Hope Bundles of Hope (BOH) is a ministry of Hope Children’s Home created to offer a fourth choice to women facing crisis pregnancies. In partnership with Pregnancy Resource Centers (PRCs), BOH provides a loving and stable environment where infants can be cared for while their mothers receive the support and time they need to rebuild their lives. If reunification is not possible, BOH facilitates adoption into a Christian family—at little or no cost to the adoptive parents—ensuring every child experiences the love and security of a godly home. The vision of Bundles of Hope aligns fully with Hope Children’s Home: “To love children in need and equip them for the future.” BOH expands this vision to focus on restoring the beginning of life, ensuring that every baby entrusted to our care begins life surrounded by safety, prayer, and hope. Position Overview The Cottage Parent(s) play an important role in providing a temporary, safe, and nurturing home for newborns up to age two that have been placed into BOH temporary housing program. With the main goal of reunification or, in some cases, adoption, it is vital that the Cottage Parent (s) create and maintain an environment in which the child can have their basic needs, emotional needs, and spiritual needs met. The impact that the Cottage Parent (s) will have on each child’s life will create a generational change which is profound and Kingdom-minded. Key Responsibilities Implement around the clock care for up to 4 newborns/toddlers at the same time. Coordinate doctor visits for the children in your care. Manage a clean home to the standards of the organization. Keep daily records and write a weekly report. Meet all FACCCA requirements Facilitate on-site visits with parents Qualifications Required: High School Diploma or equivalent Minimum of four years working with children and their development at a leadership compacity. Pass an extensive background check (medical, FBI, and local police checks) If you are a married couple, you must demonstrate the stability and longevity of your relationship. Clean driving record Preferred: College Degree in Child Development Infant and Toddler Specialist Work Environment & Physical Requirements This position requires you to pass a physical due to the childcare environment standards that must be met. You must be able to lift 25 + pounds. Bundles of Hope is generally exempt from the provisions of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, which makes illegal discrimination in employment based on religion. Therefore we retain the right to give preference in hiring to persons who are Christian, and/or in good standing with this organization. Beyond this religion exception, however, it is our employment practice to tolerate no discrimination in hiring, compensating, promoting, or terminating employees because of an individual’s race, color, sex (except as pastoral staff needs require), national origin, disability, veteran status, or age. This policy is based on laws established under the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and other applicable local, state, and federal guidelines.
