    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><strong>Position Description:</strong></p><p>&nbsp;Are you a professional with a background in Process Operations and would like to have a career with a collaborative, diverse, and dynamic mining company? We have a position open for you!</p><p>Our people division is growing, and we are looking for a Refinery Technician at our Cortez&nbsp;operations. The successful candidate will ensure safe and efficient operation of various processing circuits/equipment including but not limited to: grinding circuits (wet/dry), crushing circuits ( jaw/gyro/cone), carbon-in-leach, resin-in-leach, elution (carbon/resin), autoclaves, roasters, thickeners, boilers, water treatment systems, off gas/gas handling, reagent handling, electrowinning, retort/induction furnaces, solution balance, sample collection, data recording, retrieval of sample data, proper handling of potentially hazardous chemicals, monitoring/controlling water and slurry flows, reagent addition, checking conveyors, pumps, valves, piping and other equipment, making calculations and adjustments as needed to maintain operating parameters within limits.&nbsp; Inspect and check all other components of operating systems and equipment regularly.&nbsp;</p><p>At Nevada Gold Mines, our vision is to be the world’s most valued gold mining business by finding, developing, and operating the best assets with the best people. We are committed to a safe work environment sending every person home safe and healthy every day and leaving a sustainable legacy on</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Maintain a clean and safe work area.</li><li>Follow procedures that utilize equipment and instruments critical to monitoring process performance.</li><li>Understand and comply with environmental permit limits.</li><li>Maintain accurate records for metallurgical accounting and process control.</li><li>Operate production machinery and equipment such as overhead cranes, valves, and gauges for the purpose of maximizing production.</li><li>Open and/or secure vault</li><li>Prepare gold bullion for shipment</li><li>Collect samples for metallurgical accounting and process control.</li><li>Operate the following: Electrowinning cells, Mercury retort furnaces, Smelting furnaces, Carbon filters, Zinc precipitation circuit, Slag handling circuit.</li><li>Attach lockout devices (following company procedure) to electrical equipment during maintenance.</li><li>Identify preventative maintenance needs, preventing loss to property and process.</li><li>Complete operator reports and time entry accurately.</li><li>Work as needed on weekends and holidays.</li><li>Respond to emergencies that could cause injury or loss of production.</li><li>Communicate daily operations with refinery supervisor.</li><li>Maintain accurate records of required process variables.</li></ul><p>The above duties and responsibilities are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all-inclusive.&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>A minimum of 18 months refining experience preferred</li><li>Demonstrated initiative, enthusiasm, and willingness to learn. Ability to follow directions. Ability to train others.</li><li>Proven safety and attendance record&nbsp;<strong>required</strong></li><li>Understanding of computer applications such as Word, Excel and MINEMAN.
