This includes teaching in classrooms, labs, and outside the classroom during campus and student activities. This position delivers high-quality instruction to students, combining theoretical knowledge with practical, hands-on experience, develops and implements curriculum, assesses student progress, and ensures adherence to industry standards and best practices.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Organize and deliver class objectives in a clear, concise manner</li>\n <li>Foster and maintain an orderly, controlled, and safe environment for students in classrooms and labs</li>\n <li>Maintain and prepare training aids, tools, and equipment in the classroom and lab</li>\n <li>Maintain curriculum accuracy by keeping up to date on industry standards and practices</li>\n <li>Evaluate student performance through assignments, exams, and practical assessments</li>\n <li>Provide constructive feedback and support to students to help them achieve academic and professional success</li>\n <li>Identify and report on any at-risk students; creates individualized success plans to mitigate attrition</li>\n <li>Foster relationships with students to help them meet program competency requirements</li>\n <li>Provide periodic and ad-hoc reporting to stakeholders</li>\n <li>Meet with students and education personnel to discuss instructional programs and related issues</li>\n <li>Provide and maintain regular, substantive interaction with students in online course components</li>\n <li>Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress</li>\n <li>Deliver engaging lectures and lab sessions on assigned topics, diagnostic procedures, equipment operation and troubleshooting, etc.</li>\n <li>Other duties as assigned</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Licenses/Certifications</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Unencumbered and active Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) certification in the state of TN with specializations in OB-GYN or Abdominals (required)</li>\n <li>Registered in at least one of the sonography specialties for which the primary teaching role (required)</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Education/Experience</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>HS Diploma or GED (required)</li>\n <li>Associates Degree in Medical Sonography (required)</li>\n <li>Direct and specialized knowledge in the area of instruction (required)</li>\n <li>4 years clinical experience (required)</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Skills</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Expertise in the area of assignment that demonstrates the skills needed to provide instruction</li>\n <li>Design and deliver engaging educational content, adapting teaching methods to diverse learning styles</li>\n <li>Build rapport with students, clinical partners, and colleagues, fostering a positive learning environment</li>\n <li>Flexibility to stay current with industry advancements and incorporate new knowledge into teaching practices</li>\n <li>Competence in evaluating student performance and providing constructive feedback</li>\n <li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective instruction and interaction with students and colleagues</li>\n <li>Commitment to ongoing learning and participation in professional growth opportunities</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Standard Abilities</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Frequently (80% or more of workday)\n  <ul>\n   <li>Use hearing and sight (both near and far vision)</li>\n   <li>Communicate with students and provide direct instruction</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Occasionally (up to 50% of workday)\n  <ul>\n   <li>Use fine motor skills to operate personal computers, manual and electrical (dental, automotive, mechanical, nursing, etc.) equipment, as well as various diagnostic or procedure equipment</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Rarely (less than 20% of workday)\n  <ul>\n   <li>Lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds with the assistance of mechanical interventions, students, or other employees</li>\n   <li>Stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl to provide instruction in labs and demonstrate procedures</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Able and willing to:\n  <ul>\n   <li>Communicate, think, learn, and reason</li>\n   <li>Use computers and computer systems (including hardware and software) to process transactions, store documents, enter data, or perform assigned tasks</li>\n   <li>Safely ambulate and/or maneuver when on-site at Company locations</li>\n   <li>Demonstrate and utilize active listening, inductive reasoning, information ordering and category flexibility</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Ability to use good judgment, problem-solving and decision-making skills</li>\n <li>Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information with discretion</li>\n <li>Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where deadlines are essential and multiple projects are worked simultaneously</li>\n <li>Ability to gain, understand and apply information and data as it relates essential functions of the position</li>\n <li>Ability to foster long-term relationships with stakeholders</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Work Environment</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Work is performed indoors in a climate-controlled environment when on site at assigned company location. Employees must be able to safely ambulate when on company premises.</li>\n <li>On campus and on site work locations include exposure to student learning environments with a variety of conditions. Employees must be able to follow all safety precautions including the use of personal-protective equipment. Employees must also be able to adhere to site-specific safety procedures.</li>\n <li>No travel required.</li>\n</ul>",
