Being a Clinical Nurse Specialist at PHC means being supported by a robust network of interdisciplinary professionals. </p>\n<p>Reporting to the Program Director for Program issues and the Chief of Professional Practice and Nursing for professional issues, the Clinical Nurse Specialist provides expert nursing care to patients and families and functions as a clinical leader within the Mental Health Program. Consults and collaborates with Clinical Group/Service Leaders, other nurses and health care professionals to improve and advance nursing practice and patient/resident outcomes both in Mental Health and in nursing practice initiatives throughout Providence Health Care.</p>\n<p><strong>Your responsibilities will include: </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Research and Evidence-Based Practice:</strong> Supports and conducts nursing research to improve clinical practices and patient outcomes. Critiques, disseminates, and integrates research findings into practice while encouraging and mentoring colleagues in research and evidence-based care initiatives.</li>\n <li><p><strong>Clinical Expertise and Leadership:</strong> Provides expert nursing care to patients/residents and serves as a clinical leader in mental health, acting as a role model for professional nursing practice. This includes maintaining excellence in care, influencing nursing practices, and collaborating across disciplines to improve patient outcomes.</p></li>\n <li><p><strong>Consultation and Program Development:</strong> Offers consultation to nurses and interdisciplinary teams by guiding clinical decision-making, planning care strategies, and contributing to the development and evaluation of patient care programs and standards of practice within the specialty area.</p></li>\n <li><p><strong>Education and Professional Development:</strong> Leads educational initiatives by identifying learning needs, developing and implementing training programs for nursing staff, and contributing to the education of nursing students and interdisciplinary teams. Promotes a culture of continuous learning and professional growth across the organization.</p></li>\n</ul>\n<h2>What You Bring</h2>\n<p><strong>Education</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Master's degree in Nursing.
