      "description": "<p>Description</p><p> The Therapy Technician assists in the delivery of therapist services under the supervision of Physical and Occupational Therapists </p><p>Requirements</p><p><strong>Essential Functions:</strong></p><p>   </p><p>- Greets and checks in patients, collects co-pays and escorts them from reception room to the treatment rooms/gym; prepares patients for treatment as directed by therapist.</p><p>- Prepares patient in treatment room and notifies therapist when ready</p><p>- Prepares treatments with necessary equipment</p><p>- Assists therapist in preparing for treatment rooms</p><p>- Assist therapist in preparing for treatment programs</p><p>- Triages incoming telephone calls as needed; instructs patient and family regarding treatment instruction, then documents action taken in patient chart</p><p>- Schedules patient appointments as necessary</p><p>- Assist in preparing and maintaining supplies and equipment in therapy department</p><p>- Replenishes supplies-stocks and cleans therapy area and manages supply of therapy supplies, including the laundering and stocking of towels and linens</p><p>- Recommends equipment and inventory purchases to Manager </p><p>Additional duties as assigned. </p><p><br/></p><p><strong>Education & Training Requirements:</strong></p><p>  </p><p>  </p><p>- High School Diploma/GED </p><p>- Experience working in a Physical or Occupational therapy setting preferred</p><p>- AHA Basic Life Support (BLS)</p><p>- Background in some sort of fitness, sports, health, or wellness related activity or work preferred not required   </p><p>- Experience working with the public.</p><p>- Experience with computers and office equipment.</p><p>Experience with standard gym equipment including cable machines, treadmills, bikes, free weights, etc.  </p><p><br/></p><p> </p><align-center><strong>Note: Job description available upon request</strong></align-center><align-center><strong>**All required documents must be presented at time of hire.**</strong></align-center><align-center>EXTERNAL APPLICANT: Employment is contingent upon successful completion of pre-employment drug and alcohol testing.</align-center><align-center>GRMC is an Equal Opportunity Employer</align-center>",
