Description

Overview Working under the direction of the Director of Clinical Services and in conjunction with the treatment team, the Clinical Supervisor manages all aspects of the Crisis Stabilization Unit. This team provides intervention and crisis stabilization services to children and youth 5-17 in a mental health or other crisis. Services are performed in the Crisis Stabilization Unit with some in-home treatment implementation. Responsibilities include overall operation of the CSU including 24 hour crisis line, dispatching staff for crisis intervention; admission to CSU; stabilization with rapid discharge planning. Responsive coordination with Community Service Boards and fluid wrap-around service planning and implementation. Responsibilities include staffing, training, assessments, oversight of service delivery and clinical supervision. All work is performed within a systems-based framework with strong collaboration skills with and in support of other services offered by St. Joseph's Villa. Responsibilities Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: - Evaluation and screening on an emergency basis for clients in need of crisis stabilization services. - Partners with emergency services and criminal justice community to ensure appropriate level of care. - Accurate data collection of program goals. - Assists in crisis resolution. - Creates, implements and monitors a comprehensive stabilization plan. - Provides supervision and training of staff within her/his program(s). - Schedules shift and coverage pattern for service, including regular and on-call relief. - Works in conjunction with the director and treatment staff in matters of supervision, evaluating, training, and recommendation of hiring or termination. - Participates in staff meetings, community meetings, and other staff and program group activities that support the operation of a treatment program. - Promotes good family and community relations and appropriately assesses services for appropriate wrap around services to support quality of life for person’s served. Qualifications Qualified Mental Health Provider Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) Three or more years experience with relevant population (including one or more years in a supervisory capacity) Crisis Intervention and/or Stabilization experience preferred. Proficient with Windows, Outlook, Internet research and Microsoft Office. Valid Virginia driver's license with excellent driving record Excellent written and verbal communication skills
