    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>R&P Technologies is looking for a Marine Composite technician level I to fill a full-time position undertaking a variety of tasks relating to assisting with the installation, repair and troubleshooting of, composite lamination and lay up onboard US Navy ships in San Diego, CA.  We support several different ship classes and types at various Navy installations around the United States coastal areas.  Due to the high amount of risk pertaining to this job, candidates must be first and foremost responsible individuals with great attention to safety precautions. Prior shipboard experience is preferred, but not required.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Undergo composite certification and qualification training</li>\n <li>As part of a small team, execute composite / installation trade repairs and modifications to shipboard composite structures</li>\n <li>Ensure work being performed complies with applicable installation procedures and practices</li>\n <li>Ensure all required documentation is completed and retained in the project QA book</li>\n <li>Report daily progress updates to your supervisor or lead</li>\n <li>Adhere to all safety precautions associated with composite material handling and use and comply with all local, state, and federal regulations when handling, transporting and disposing of composite material and hazardous material/waste</li>\n <li>Adhere to all shipyard, shipboard, and OSHA safety requirements</li>\n <li>Maintain quality standards associated with composite repair and installation as prescribed by the Composite Workbooks and Composite Owner’s Manual associated with this work.</li>\n <li>Work shipboard availabilities with a small crew.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>OSHA 10 required or willing to obtain</li>\n <li>Composite Owner’s Manual familiarity and proficiency</li>\n <li>Composite Work Item Workbook familiarity and proficiency</li>\n <li>Complete in-house and shipyard access safety training</li>\n <li>Physically able to work in an industrial, shipyard, and shipboard environment</li>\n <li>Able to climb ladders, work aloft on scaffolding, work in confined spaces </li>\n <li>Able to qualify for and maintain appropriate security credentials for access to US Naval bases, Shipyards and US Naval Ships</li>\n <li>Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability</li>\n <li>Excellent physical condition with the ability to lift 50 pounds on your own</li>\n <li>Willingness to travel to various locations in support of ship maintenance availabilities</li>\n <li>Flexibility with regards to scheduling and planned support due to constant Navy movement</li>\n <li>Thorough knowledge of safety procedures and guidelines</li>\n <li>Ability to obtain and maintain Navy DBIDS security credentials</li>\n <li>Valid Security Clearance, or the ability to qualify and maintain one</li>\n <li>Must be a U.S. citizen</li>\n <li>Must be PUNCTUAL AND RELIABLE</li>\n <li>Must be able to work a flexible schedule </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>EEO Statement</h2>\n<p>R&P Technologies provides equal opportunity for all persons and prohibits discrimination in employment because of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability (including pregnancy, childbirth or related medical conditions), veteran or marital status, or any other factor prohibited by law. The salary range for this position is $24.00-$28.00 per hour ($49,920.00-$58,240.00 annually). </li>\n</ul>",
