    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>Under direction, to perform work developing, analyzing, maintaining and implementing the EPIC EMR system software within the Healthcare Organization.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (*Essential Functions)</strong></p>\n<li>Analyze and prioritize requests for system changes/enhancements, including requirements gathering.  Identify potential problem areas and recommend processes and/or system improvements.</li>\n<li>Assures proper change control and documentation for upgrades and system modifications.  This includes documentation of actions in release notes and coordination with other teams as necessary.</li>\n<li>Effectively works as a team member to ensure quality of integration across system applications. This includes working with vendors/third party entities that need to be integrated with the Epic product.</li>\n<li>Ensure programs and related components are continuously reliable, available and function as required.</li>\n<li>Investigate user problems and needs, identify their source, determine/implement solutions and document resolutions for future reference.  This includes working on multiple-disciplinary teams to develop solutions.</li>\n<li>Document system and business requirements.  Create test plans and scripts for system and user acceptance testing.  Assist with and document the development of new operational procedures.</li>\n<li>Participate in the development, implementation and testing of application software, specifically those that interact with the Epic system.</li>\n<li>Provide guidance and support for ongoing training.  Participate in the development and implementation of training materials.</li>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>JOB SPECIFICATIONS (Minimum Requirements)</strong><strong>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Knowledge of hardware and software applications.</li>\n <li>Participate in development; implementation and testing of application software, specifically those associated or that interact with the Epic EMR.</li>\n <li>Participate in the development; implementation and testing of application software, specifically the Epic modules.</li>\n <li>Must be highly motivated and exhibit the interpersonal skills necessary to achieve results through coordinating efforts with others in a collaborative manner.  Team player with all applications with a \"can-do\" attitude.</li>\n <li>Ability to mentor, trains, and teach others.</li>\n <li>Must be able to deal with stressful situations effectively.</li>\n <li>Demonstrates courteous, kind, caring, and compassionate behavior and projects a positive attitude to support organization.</li>\n <li>Investigate user problems and needs, identify their source, and determine possible solutions and documents resolutions for future reference.  This includes working on multiple-disciplinary teams to develop solutions.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>EDUCATION</strong></p>\n<p>All post high school education must have been obtained from a recognized College or University.  Additional education or experience may be substituted requirements on a year for year basis should the substitution not conflict with State or Board certification/license requirements.  </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Associates degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field Required</li>\n <li>Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field Preferred</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>EXPERIENCE</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>1 year experience in Healthcare Informatics preferred.</li>\n <li>Prior experience or proficiency with EPIC application software is preferred.</li>\n <li>Must achieve EPIC proficiency within the first six (6) months of hire date.\n  <ul>\n   <li>Prelude/Grand Central/Registration</li>\n   <li>Cadence/Scheduling</li>\n   <li>Resolute Hospital Billing</li>\n   <li>HIM/Medical Records</li>\n   <li>Willow/Pharmacy</li>\n   <li>ASAP/Emergency Dept</li>\n   <li>Anesthesia</li>\n   <li>OP Time/Surgery</li>\n   <li>Procedure Orders</li>\n  </ul></li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>STANDARDS OF BEHAVIOR</strong>Meets the Standards of Behavior as outlined in Personnel Policy and Procedure #1, Employee Relations Code.<strong>CONFIDENTIALITY/HIPAA/CORPORATE COMPLIANCE</strong>Demonstrates knowledge of procedures for protecting and maintaining security, confidentiality and integrity of employee, patient, family, organizational and other medical information.
