The unit specializes in Orthopedics, Gynecology, Urology, and Abdominal Surgery. 2N also can care for patients requiring remote telemetry. We even offer pet insurance for your four-legged family members.  </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Early access to earned wages with Daily Pay, tuition reimbursement to help further your career and adoption assistance to help you grow your family.   </li>\n</ul>\n<p>With a collective goal to champion a culture of belonging where everyone feels valued and respected, we honor the ways people are unique and embrace what brings us together.   </p>\n<p>And, we believe equipping you with support and development opportunities is a vital part of delivering an exceptional employment experience. </p>\n<p>Find a fulfilling career and make a difference with UnityPoint Health.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Possesses the knowledge and clinical skills necessary to provide care for people with physical disability and chronic illness</li>\n <li>Participates in patient/family educational activities and uses appropriate resources to implement an individualized teaching and discharge plan with patients and their families</li>\n <li>Performs hands-on nursing care by utilizing the nursing process to achieve quality outcomes for patients</li>\n <li>Provides direction and supervision of unlicensed assistive personnel (i.e. Patient Care Technician), demonstrates clinical judgment appropriate for Iowa’s LPN scope of practice</li>\n <li>Coordinates nursing care activities in collaboration with other members of the interdisciplinary rehabilitation team to facilitate achievement of overall goals</li>\n <li>Contributes to the assessment of the physical, psychological, sociocultural, and spiritual dimensions of patients and their families, as well as their educational and discharge needs</li>\n <li>Implements the interdisciplinary plan of care within the scope of LPN/LVN practice and provides nursing care and education directly or through ancillary personnel, as needed, to maintain and restore function and prevent complications and further loss</li>\n <li>Contributes to the evaluation of the nursing care and to the modification of the plan as needed to achieve measurable goals and objectives</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Education: </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Successful completion of a licensed practical nurse program from an accredited college.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>License(s)/Certification(s): </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Current licensure in good standing to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse in Iowa.</li>\n <li>Must possess and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or obtain certification within three (3) months from date of hire.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Experience: </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Preferred experience or clinical time in Post-Acute Care or an Acute Care environment.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Other: </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Level 3 Medium Work:  Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.</li>\n</ul>",
