    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>Wheatfield Commons, a DePaul Senior Living Community is hiring a full-time Resident Care Assistant to work the overnight shift.  </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Under the general direction of the Supervisor-In-Charge, the Resident Care Assistant provides direct personal care and assistance to residents as needed.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The hours for this role are 10pm - 6am</p>\n<p>The pay range for this opportunity is $16.25 - $16.55 per hour.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Why work for DePaul?</p>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Make a positive difference in someone's life</strong></li>\n <li><strong>Supportive work environment</strong></li>\n <li><strong>We value diversity</strong></li>\n <li><strong>Opportunity for professional development and career advancement</strong></li>\n <li><strong>Excellent benefits and competitive wages</strong> </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Respects and maintains resident confidentiality and demonstrates a positive, caring attitude toward all residents, staff and guests</li>\n <li>Assists residents with bathing, personal care and oral hygiene. </li>\n <li>Assists residents with choice of attire and care of clothing.</li>\n <li>Reminds residents of meal times and monitors meal attendance..</li>\n <li>Makes beds daily and changes bedding and linens weekly or as needed.</li>\n <li>Performs rounds on each resident at the beginning and end of each shift.</li>\n <li>Documents and reports all concerns to the supervisor; (i.e. changes in behavior, evidence of illness etc.)</li>\n <li>Assists relatives, guests and visitors as needed or requested. Will also assist with room preparation and welcome of new residents.</li>\n <li>Reminds residents of medication times.</li>\n <li>Attends staff meetings and in-services when requested.</li>\n <li>Keeps scheduled shifts and plans time off in advance with the supervisor.</li>\n <li>Performs housekeeping duties and laundry as scheduled needed or requested.</li>\n <li>Inspects building areas and furnishings for wear and defects, completes maintenance requests.</li>\n <li>Assists with activity programs as requested.</li>\n <li>Performs other duties as requested or assigned. </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>High School diploma or GED preferred.</li>\n <li>CNA, HHA or PCA certification preferred.</li>\n <li>One year work experience in a care-giving field desired.</li>\n <li>Must be dependable, hardworking and willing to work as part of a team.</li>\n <li>Must have the required references and criminal record check.</li>\n <li>Must have annual TB screening and Health Assessment completed.</li>\n <li>Must be at least 18 years of age.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Desired Qualities</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Warmth, understanding and responsiveness to residents and their demands and reactions.</li>\n <li>Positive feeling for families and visitors, exercising patience and tact.</li>\n <li>Ability to use initiative, judgment and resourcefulness and ability to make decisions.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Benefits</h2>\n<p>This position is eligible for the following benefits: Medical Insurance, Dental Insurance, Vision Insurance, Life Insurance, Generous PTO & Paid Holidays, 403B Employer Match and Employee Discount Programs.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>DePaul is an equal opportunity employer that values diversity.
