    "requisitionDescription": "<div><p data-pasted=\"true\"><strong>Position:&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Equipment Mechanic Trainee</strong></p><p><strong>Reports To:&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;Maintenance Manager</strong></p><p><strong>Location:&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;Marion OH</strong></p><p><strong>Schedule:&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;Full-time</strong></p><p><strong>Overview of Position:</strong></p><p>We are looking for an eager and motivated <strong>Entry-Level Equipment Mechanic Trainee</strong> to join our maintenance team. &nbsp;In this hands-on role, you&rsquo;ll assist with the maintenance, cleaning, and repair of a variety of heavy equipment. You will gain experience in diagnosing, maintaining, and troubleshooting equipment, while also performing cleaning duties, including pressure washing and ensuring the equipment is in top operational condition. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to start a career in mechanics and equipment repair while gaining practical experience in a fast-paced industrial environment.</p><p><strong>Primary Responsibilities</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li><strong>Perform Preventative Maintenance:</strong> Assist with daily, weekly, and monthly inspections of company heavy equipment and vehicles to ensure they run safely and efficiently.</li><li><strong>Pressure Washing &amp; Cleaning:</strong> Perform pressure washing of equipment to remove dirt, grease, and other contaminants, keeping machinery clean and functional.</li><li><strong>Assist with Repairs, Servicing &amp; Diagnostics:</strong> Help troubleshoot, inspect, and repair various mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems under the guidance of senior mechanics.</li><li><strong>Record Keeping:</strong> Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and parts usage.</li><li><strong>Safety &amp; Compliance:</strong> Ensure all work meets safety standards and complies with DOT, OSHA, and EPA regulations.</li><li><strong>Organized Workspace:</strong> Keep the maintenance shop and equipment clean and organized, following company safety protocols.</li><li><strong>Team Collaboration:</strong> Work closely with team members and supervisors to prioritize tasks and minimize downtime for equipment.</li></ul><p><strong>Minimum Qualifications</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li><strong>Education:</strong> High school diploma or equivalent. Technical education in mechanics or welding is a plus.</li><li><strong>Experience:</strong> No previous experience required. Ideal for those looking to start a career in equipment maintenance. Previous experience with small engines, farm equipment, or automobiles is a plus.</li><li><strong>Bonus Skills:</strong> Basic knowledge of welding, cutting torches, or pressure washing equipment.</li></ul><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>Knowledge, Skills &amp; Abilities</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li><strong>Teamwork:</strong> Ability to collaborate and work effectively with others.</li><li><strong>Communication:</strong> Good communication skills for reporting issues and working with the team.</li><li><strong>Time Management:</strong> Ability to manage time efficiently, balancing multiple tasks and responsibilities.</li></ul><p><strong>Work Environment</strong></p><p>This position takes place in an industrial setting, including outdoor and indoor environments that may be noisy and physically demanding. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be required for safety</p><p><strong>Physical Demands</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li><strong>Standing &amp; Walking:</strong> Regularly required to stand, walk, and work on flat and uneven surfaces.</li><li><strong>Lifting &amp; Carrying:</strong> Must be able to regularly lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks such as bending, reaching, and climbing stairs.</li><li><strong>Communication:</strong> Frequent verbal communication required in noisy environments.</li></ul><p><strong>Other Duties</strong></p><p>Please note this job description is not exhaustive and may change based on business needs.
