    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><strong>Essential Functions:&nbsp; </strong>Teaching the Basic Quality Measurements - Metrology course to an apprenticeship group on Fridays during business hours at LCCC as a part-time adjunct faculty member. Class and hands-on lab assignments emphasize learning proper use and care of quality measuring instruments or devices. Students will be trained in measurement techniques and procedures based on industry standards and practices. Advanced precision measurement devices, methods for inspection, maintenance and care of instruments, and writing technical reports are also introduced. Course topics include instrument calibration, optical flats, reference planes, angle measurement, CMM, Vernier calipers, micrometers, gauge blocks, optical comparators, and pneumatic measurement equipment.<br/>&nbsp;</p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:-13.5pt;\">&nbsp;</p>",
