From environmental planning, permitting, remediation, and site characterization to chemical data management and hydrogeology, Kleinfelder offers a variety of services designed to provide technically appropriate and cost-effective solutions. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Step into Your New Role</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>We have an opening for an Entry-level Geologist in Midland, Texas.</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>This position within Kleinfelder involves the collection of environmental data from sites in various stages of the assessment and remediation process.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Under direct supervision, this person will be responsible for completing well-defined, assigned field and office tasks including:</p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Groundwater sampling,</li>\n <li>Collection of soil samples,</li>\n <li>Installation of monitoring wells,</li>\n <li>Identification and evaluation of sensitive receptors,</li>\n <li>Analyzing and interpreting analytical data,</li>\n <li>Authoring technical reports,</li>\n <li>Progressing sites towards regulatory closure,</li>\n <li>Learning and honing the fundamentals of Data Collection;</li>\n <li>Data validity and Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC);</li>\n <li>Observation and documentation in support of scientific investigations and engineered solutions.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Requires working within the context of local, state, federal regulations, client requirements, and as a part of a project team under the direction of a project manager with other staff professionals.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Experience:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>0-2 years' experience. The ideal candidate must have a strong, technical or educational background in geology or engineering, the ability to provide technical support on projects, have strong communication and good writing skills.</li>\n <li>OSHA 40HR HAZWOPER training is preferred.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Education: </strong>B.S. degree in geology, engineering or the sciences. E.I.T or G.I.T preferred.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>This position may require work on projects requiring full vaccination from COVID-19.
