Our culture supports our values by fostering innovative and critical thinking and a deep belief in living up to our promises.  </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Headquartered in the United States, Pattern has a global portfolio of more than 35 power facilities and transmission assets, serving various customers that provide low-cost clean energy to millions of consumers.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>JOB PURPOSE</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The Manager, Reliability Compliance – Transmission will oversee the compliance program and be an interface with FERC, NERC, NERC Regional Entities, ISO/RTOs and other regulatory and reliability entities applicable to Pattern’s transmission assets.  Manager, Reliability Compliance – Transmission will lead the effort to monitor different reliability regulatory rules as they apply to Pattern to ensure Pattern has the appropriate systematic preventive measures in place to maintain compliance with the requirements.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The Manager, Reliability Compliance – Transmission will provide technical guidance and feedback to operations, engineering, information technology, and other subject matter experts tasked to support compliance with reliability regulations.  Activities include maintaining the compliance of Pattern’s assets to applicable FERC Orders, NERC Reliability Standards, ISO/RTO market rules and other compliance requirements that relate to reliability through research, data collection, analysis, compliance document organization, and compliance submissions to the appropriate reliability entities.  </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Key Accountabilities</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Maintaining the compliance of Pattern’s assets to applicable FERC Orders, NERC Reliability Standards, ISO/RTO market rules and other compliance requirements that relate to reliability through research, data collection, analysis, compliance document organization, and compliance submissions to the appropriate reliability entities.</li>\n <li>Manage and enhance Pattern’s transmission operations & planning internal compliance program and assist with Pattern’s critical infrastructure protection internal compliance program, as needed.</li>\n <li>Oversee and assist in the data collection, analysis and submittal for reliability entities required self-certifications, data requests, audit data, etc. for Pattern transmission assets.</li>\n <li>Development, analysis, maintenance and training of Pattern’s policies, procedures, standards and other systematic preventive measures developed to ensure adherence with applicable compliance requirements and industry best practices.</li>\n <li>Prepare reports and presentation materials on Pattern’s compliance activities for internal and external business partners.</li>\n <li>Provide support to Pattern personnel responsible for adherence with compliance requirements.</li>\n <li>Conduct audits of Pattern transmission assets to determine compliance with internal and external compliance requirements.</li>\n <li>Identify, enhance and create measures to ensure compliance with existing, updated and new compliance requirements, including but not limited to, market rules and reliability standards.</li>\n <li>Represent Pattern and participate in various conferences, workshops and industry groups associated with compliance requirements.</li>\n <li>Analyze electrical data to understand trends and system events for the purposes of reporting and process improvement.</li>\n <li>Proactively support the Pattern control room through proper training, data analysis and development of tools to ease compliance burden.</li>\n <li>Provide assistance as needed with research for products and services and product development.</li>\n <li>Other duties as assigned.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Experience/Qualifications/Education Required</strong></p>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>Educational Requirements</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree in an analytical field such as engineering, economics or finance.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Experience Requirements</strong></p>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Minimum of ten years of professional experience.</li>\n <li>Minimum of 6 years of experience in the electrical industry.</li>\n <li>Minimum of 5 years of direct experience with transmission owner/operator/planner NERC Reliability Standards.</li>\n <li>Minimum of 3 years of direct experience with generator owner/operator NERC Reliability Standards.</li>\n <li>Minimum of 2 years of direct experience with resource & demand balancing NERC Reliability Standards.</li>\n <li>Minimum of 2 years of direct experience supervising personnel in a professional environment.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Additional Requirements</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Must pass a personnel risk assessment and seven-year criminal history check.</li>\n <li>Valid driver’s license.</li>\n <li>Hold or be able to obtain a passport.</li>\n <li>Ability to travel approximately 25% of the time to domestic and international locations.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Technical Skills</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Moderate to comprehensive knowledge of electrical principles.</li>\n <li>Advanced research and writing skills; including the development of internal procedures that are clear, concise, accurate & implementable.</li>\n <li>Strong quantitative, analytical and problem-solving skills.</li>\n <li>Consistently deliver on deadlines.</li>\n <li>Excellent organizational skills (oral and written) and the ability to excel at details, multi-tasking and working under pressure.</li>\n <li>Strong attention to detail, the ability to multi-task and work under pressure.</li>\n <li>Proficiency in the use of software programs such as MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.  Adobe Acrobat PRO and MS Access knowledge a plus.</li>\n <li>NERC certified or experience working in a operations position, is a plus.</li>\n <li>FERC and DOE experience a plus.</li>\n <li>Ability to successfully interact with key executives, external and internal customers.</li>\n <li>Possess a working understanding of cost accounting, budgeting and contract implementation/management.</li>\n <li>Experience working with renewable generating systems is desirable.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The expected starting pay range for this role is $103,000 - $138,000 USD. This range is an estimate and base pay may be above or below the ranges based on several factors including but not limited to location, work experience, certifications, and education. In addition to base pay, Pattern’s compensation program includes a bonus structure for full-time employees of all levels.
