Description

Overview The Admissions Officer Residency Lead position is responsible for the completion of various responsibilities related to processing and evaluation residency applications and admissions applications. This position includes a lead role with residency with responsibility for residency training, modifications to the residency application, covering residency info events, and helping with residency committee decisions. Incumbents in this position must be friendly and enjoy serving students, accurate and detail oriented, self-motivated, organized, and able to work in a fast-paced office as a selfless team member. This position is eligible for hybrid remote work within the state of Utah Responsibilities Evaluate residency status of applicants and process residency reclassification applications. Serve as a residency lead which includes providing ongoing training and support to other admissions officers on residency issues. Take a lead role in helping refine and troubleshoot residency processes. Make certain residency policies and procedures are kept up-to-date and well documented. Supports the residency committee including assembling applications for review, fact finding, researching options. Work with Service Now programmer to help refine and troubleshoot residency application and processes. Ensure that residency applications move through the various processes in an accurate, timely manner. Ensure that application materials move through the various admissions processes in an accurate, timely manner. Counsel with prospective students and help them complete the admissions process. Data entry of application materials. Request missing information from applicants. Evaluate high school and college transcripts. Evaluate applications and make admissions decisions. Assist other USU department personnel with admissions issues. Consistently exhibit behavior which helps create a positive and productive atmosphere in the office. Practice good people skills and help coworkers in a spirit of cooperation and support. Provide excellent customer service when counseling and assisting prospective students, USU academic advisors, and other university personnel. Counsel with prospective students and help them complete the admissions and residency process. Additional duties include answering phones, helping with the front counter, and assisting with the day-to-day operations of the Admissions Office.
