At PAR, we take on the most challenging and complex projects we can find, and we hire people who thrive on hard work and demanding opportunities.</p>\n<h2>About this Role</h2>\n<p>PAR Electrical Contractors, LLC is seeking an exerpeicned <strong>Safety Coordinator. </strong>The Safety Coordinator will ensure a safe work environment by developing and implementing safety programs, conducting training, and monitoring compliance with safety regulations. The Safety Coordinator will identify hazards, investigate accidents, and ensure the organization adheres to legal and internal safety requirements.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>*This position does require travel*</p>\n<h2>What You'll Do</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Ensuring compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local environmental regulations</li>\n <li>Promote the Zero Accident philosophy</li>\n <li>Perform morning safety briefing covering company-provided content with the ability to assemble relevant content if necessary</li>\n <li>Perform or assist in vehicular incident, near miss, equipment damage and injury investigations</li>\n <li>Assist in post-injury management</li>\n <li>Administer safety orientation program to acquaint employees with site conditions, safe work practices, policies, and procedures</li>\n <li>Maintain documentation of the company's safety procedures, accidents, and related events</li>\n <li>Attend pre-task meetings</li>\n <li>Perform field audits/observations, develop corrective actions from audit/observation findings and track corrective actions to completion</li>\n <li>Coordinating safety activities with customer, as necessary</li>\n <li>Conducting required safety training in support of project needs</li>\n <li>Develop site-specific safety processes and procedures, as necessary, to support the overall project plan</li>\n <li>Participate in site safety committees and conduct appropriate meetings</li>\n <li>Promoting business activities and operations that minimize impacts to sensitive environmental resource</li>\n <li>Completing and filing timely safety reports, as required</li>\n <li>Promoting business activities and operations that minimize impacts to sensitive environmental resources</li>\n <li>Ensure statutes, regulations, and codes are clearly understood and met</li>\n <li>Intervene to stop any acts or processes which are unsafe or do not comply with OHS guidelines</li>\n <li>Implement preventative measures to ensure unsafe processes are not repeated</li>\n <li>Ensure all personnel follow all personal safety precautions (hardhats, protective goggles, etc.)</li>\n <li>Attend customer’s monthly and annual meetings</li>\n <li>Assist with coordination and/or specimen collection for DOT and post-incident drug</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>What You'll Bring</h2>\n<p><strong>Education and Experience:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Associated Degree in Occupational Safety and Health</li>\n <li>Previous experience in transmission and electrical construction</li>\n <li>Two (2) years previous experience in comprehensive workplace safety and compliance programs</li>\n <li>Solid knowledge of state and local statutes and ordinances on utility safety and DOT regulations and up to date on latest local and state guideline changes.</li>\n <li>Ability to speak in front of others well to conduct training in groups</li>\n <li>Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities at the same time while meeting deadlines</li>\n <li>Interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish effective professional relationships with employees and project managers</li>\n <li>Valid Driver’s License</li>\n <li>Ability to physically stand, bend, squat, and walk through the work day</li>\n <li>Subject to both environmental conditions: Activities occur inside and outside</li>\n <li>Ability to travel extensively with extended overnight stays</li>\n <li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills</li>\n <li>Self-directed, organized, and self-motivated to accomplish goals</li>\n <li>Proficient computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)</li>\n <li>Drug Free Workplace: New employees must submit and successfully pass post-offer drug screening</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>What You'll Get</h2>\n<p>PAR offers a comprehensive benefits package including:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>100% employer-paid Medical, Dental, Vision, Hearing, Prescription, life insurance and disability benefits</li>\n <li>401(k) retirement plan with matching contribution</li>\n <li>Paid Time Off</li>\n <li>Paid Holidays</li>\n <li>Tuition Assistance</li>\n <li>Wellness and Mental Health Programs</li>\n <li>Learning and Development Programs</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Equal Opportunity Employer</h2>\n<p>All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment and will not be discriminated against on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin or ancestry, sex (including gender, pregnancy, sexual orientation, and/or gender identity), age, disability, genetic information, veteran status, and/or any other basis protected by applicable federal, state or local law.We are an Equal Opportunity Employer, including disability and protected veteran status.
