The ideal candidate will have a proven history working well with children and adults, well-organized and able to carry out patient studies as well as patient dosing and daily camera and hot lab QCs. With no generator on premises, the clinic receives unit doses from an outside nuclear pharmacy making efficiency a key trait.</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Essential Duties &amp; Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Responsible for performing brain SPECT scans, as well as related general quality assurance procedures</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Performing brain SPECT scans</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Patient preparation of IV</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Preparation of patient doses</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Administration of patient doses</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Processing and printing scan images before end of work day</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Administration of testing protocols</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Maintain Odyssey hard drive</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Maintain an accurate and up to date log book</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Perform daily quality control on cameras</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Perform all hot lab duties</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Daily constancy with two sources</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Daily surveys</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Weekly wipe tests</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Order correct number of isotope vials a day prior to scans</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Maintain all required documentation</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Perform semi-annual sealed source leak test</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Perform quarterly dose calibrator linearity tests</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Perform annual geometry and accuracy test on dose calibrator</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Manage medical supplies inventory</li></ul><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills &amp; Abilities:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Current Nuclear Medicine Technologist License in applicable state</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Ability to work efficiently with large patient volumes in a fast paced environment</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Capable of working with challenging patients</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Ability to communicate technical information to general public</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Time management and organization and ability to work independently and within a team are critical.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Empathy, emotional stability, ability to relate well to others, good communications skills and above all genuine care and regard for the patient are required</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Familiarity with brain imaging a plus</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Familiarity with Picker Prism 3000 system a plus</li></ul><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Physical Demands:</strong></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
