Such work may include coordinating and assisting other company divisions such as Site Design, Transportation, Municipal, Survey and Construction Divisions.</li><li>Mentoring and management of junior engineering staff assigned to projects.</li><li>Client management and team coordination with other engineers, technicians, and other design professionals as necessary to perform work.</li><li>Attendance and management of meetings with clients, municipalities, sub-consultants, other in-house team members, and contractors.</li><li>Hydrologic and hydraulic modeling and reports, drainage investigation, floodplain and floodway analyses, and design of stormwater management systems and Green Infrastructures.&nbsp;</li><li>Coordination and compliance with regulatory agencies and securing various construction permits and approvals.</li><li>Preparation of proposals, which include scope, schedules, and budget.</li></ul><p id=\"isPasted\"><strong>What you will bring to Gewalt Hamilton Associates, Inc</strong></p><p><strong>Education:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\" id=\"isPasted\"><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.</li><li>Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of Illinois.</li><li>Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM) preferred.</li></ul><p><span style=\"background-color: transparent;\"><strong>Experience</strong></span><strong>:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\" id=\"isPasted\"><li>8+ years of direct civil engineering design experience with an emphasis on water resources field.</li><li>Proficient with hydrologic and hydraulic modeling software.</li><li id=\"isPasted\">High level of knowledge of federal, state, and local stormwater (a must), floodplain and floodway requirements and experience in obtaining various regulatory permits.</li><li>Working knowledge of Civil3D and GIS.</li><li>Valid Illinois Driver&rsquo;s License and registered insured personal vehicle.</li></ul><p><strong id=\"isPasted\">Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:&nbsp;</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\" id=\"isPasted\"><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills.</li><li>Ability to be a project leader with a high level of proficiency in complex water resources projects.&nbsp;</li><li>Self-starting, detail-oriented individual, with organizational and interpersonal skills essential.</li><li>A strong work ethic with the desire to learn and achieve.</li><li>The ability to manage multiple projects.</li><li>Strong self-initiative to meet client deadlines.</li></ul><p id=\"isPasted\"><strong>ADA SPECIFICATIONS<br></strong>The physical demands and work environment described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing essential functions of this job.
