This includes but not limited to permit reviews and reporting, , industrial hygiene, OSHA safety regulations and PSM. &nbsp;The Environmental Specialist will work closely with the rest of the leadership team in the implementation of other site objectives as needed. \\r\\n\\r\\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES:\\r\\n\\r\\n\\r\\n\\tProvide support to plant personnel to ensure regulatory compliance with safety, transportation and environmental regulations (federal, state and local)\\r\\n\\tMonthly, annual, and ad-hoc reporting to regulatory bodies (e.g., DMRs, TSCA, SARA 311/312/313, NPDES, Title V, RCRA, RMP and other site-required programs), as well as close cooperation with such bodies with timely responses on permits, audits, and inquiries\\r\\n\\tCoordinate air compliance testing activities, including stack testing and RATA testing for boilers\\r\\n\\tEnsure conformity with Responsible Care Management System (RCMS) requirements, maintain documentation supporting Responsible Care certification\\r\\n\\tServe as point person for internal EHS audits and participate as necessary in external audits (industry / OSHA)\\r\\n\\tSupport PSSR and MOC processes\\r\\n\\tConduct first-party PSM audits annually and participate in third-party PSM audits as needed\\r\\n\\tLead investigation of all incidents and ensure completion of AIM reports (excluding major incidents requiring non-unit facilitation resources)\\r\\n\\tLog all incidents into Training Mine&reg; to maintain compliance and support trending/learning\\r\\n\\tParticipate in safety meetings, PHA&rsquo;s, and emergency response drills\\r\\n\\tParticipate in the Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC) as needed to support community emergency planning and coordination\\r\\n\\tProvide unit level support for the maintenance of IH exposure assessments, exposure monitoring and communication of IH exposure records\\r\\n\\tEnsure periodic safety equipment maintenance and checks are performed and documented\\r\\n\\tManage all procedures, procedure reviews and training related to the EHS Manual\\r\\n\\tDevelop and maintain EHS training documentation; facilitate training as needed; and maintain records of training, safety meetings, and compliance activities\\r\\n\\tSupport and administer contractor safety requirements and Hazard Communication (HazCom) programs to ensure compliance and safe execution of work\\r\\n\\tWork closely with other ALTIVIA EHS resources as required\\r\\n\\tMaintain strong interface with operators and technicians, plant supervision at all levels, and logistics / HQ stakeholders\\r\\n\\tRole model the desired behaviors needed to drive continuous improvement in EHS performance\\r\\n\\r\\n\\r\\n&nbsp;\\r\\n\\r\\n&nbsp;\\r\\n\\r\\n&nbsp;\\r\\n\\r\\nQualifications:\\r\\n\\r\\n\\r\\n\\tAssociates in HSE Discipline with 5 years experience OR chemical plant experience and 5 years in a HSE role\\r\\n\\tStrong understanding &amp; experience in OSHA and environmental regulations, and hazardous materials handling\\r\\n\\tA proven record of responsibility/accountability to meeting department and plant goals and safety leadership\\r\\n\\tExcellent verbal and written communication skills to satisfy the internal customer requirements of this position \\r\\n\\tAbility to manage and prioritize multiple tasks will be essential \\r\\n\\tPossesses a high level of initiative and is able to work effectively with minimum supervision \\r\\n\\tMaintains a sense of urgency, individual responsibility, and possesses the ability to effectively work under pressure and with changing priorities\\r\\n\\tProficient in Microsoft Office\\r\\n\\r\\n\\r\\nPreferred Experience:\\r\\n\\r\\n\\r\\n\\tBachelor&rsquo;s degree HSE discipline \\r\\n\\tMinimum of 5 years experience with permitting or regulatory background preferred.\\r\\n\\tPSM experience is required\\r\\n\\tThorough knowledge of EPA and State environmental regulations\\r\\n\\tThorough knowledge of DOT regulations\\r\\n\\tThorough knowledge of industrial hygiene practices\\r\\n\\r\\n\",\"employmentType\":\"OTHER\",\"hiringOrganization\":{\"@type\":\"Organization\",\"name\":\"ALTIVIA\",\"logo\":\"https://www.paycomonline.net/v4/ats/web.php/application/style/logo?clientkey=5E8DA0F8784D78E4AB8CF4F4851FA368\"},\"jobLocation\":{\"@type\":\"Place\",\"address\":{\"streetAddress\":\"1901 W H Street\",\"addressLocality\":\"La Porte\",\"addressRegion\":\"TX\",\"postalCode\":77571,\"addressCountry\":\"USA\"}},\"validThrough\":\"2026-12-31\"}",
