And our tuition reimbursement program is the perfect springboard to help you get there!</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>So, what does a Terminal Maintenance Mechanic Do? </strong>As a <strong>Terminal Maintenance Mechanic</strong>, you'll be an integral part of our terminal operations team:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing PM requirements on motors, pneumatic systems, conveyor systems, and production-related equipment.</li>\n <li>Diagnose and repair basic hydraulic/pneumatic systems, conveyor belts.</li>\n <li>Remove defective part dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools</li>\n <li>Determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts; using rules, calipers, micrometers and other measuring instruments</li>\n <li>Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments by using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges</li>\n <li>Maintains technical knowledge by attending education workshops; reviewing technical publications and working with vendors to stay current with plant technology</li>\n <li>Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulation.</li>\n <li>Coordinate, verify and report down time for the assigned shift.</li>\n <li>Communicate with management regarding condition of critical plant equipment to minimize down time.</li>\n <li>Performs general labor as required, including landscaping/yard work, painting and general maintenance.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Valid Driver's License.</li>\n <li>At least one year’s experience in industrial maintenance required.</li>\n <li>Possess a working knowledge of Hydraulic and Pneumatic systems.</li>\n <li>Experience in steel fabrication and welding highly preferred.</li>\n <li>Experience in electrical panels and electrical machinery.</li>\n <li>Experience in the maritime, shipping port, dock, or cement/concrete industry highly preferred.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of varied types of motors and their operation highly preferred.</li>\n <li>Ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals, using diagram schematics and parts manual highly preferred.</li>\n <li>Must have willingness to put in extra hours of work when necessary</li>\n <li>Knowledge and experience with safety regulations, i.e. OSHA, MSHA, as they apply to the operation a plus.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Physical Demands</strong></p>\n<p>In a typical work setting, people in this job:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Lift 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds on occasion.</li>\n <li>Use one or two hands to grasp, move, or assemble objects</li>\n <li>Stand for long periods of time.</li>\n <li>Kneel, stoop, crouch, bend, stretch, twist or crawl.</li>\n <li>Hear sounds and recognize the difference between them.</li>\n <li>See details of objects that are less than a few feet away.</li>\n <li>See differences between colors, shades, and brightness.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Silvi Materials does not discriminate in employment on the basis of race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy and gender identity), national origin, political affiliation, sexual orientation, marital status, disability, genetic information, age, membership in an employee organization, retaliation, parental status, military service, or other non-merit factor.</p>",
